This Purchase Order is issued by Nairobi Central Diagnostics & Research Institute Ltd. to formally procure the professional services of a qualified Laboratory Technician to be deployed at our primary facility located in Kenya Nairobi. The Laboratory Technician shall be responsible for performing a comprehensive range of diagnostic laboratory procedures, including but not limited to haematological analyses, clinical chemistry assays, microbiological cultures, parasitology examinations, and histopathology sample preparation. The Laboratory Technician must hold a minimum of a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) as recognised by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians Association (KMLTA) and the Kenya Nursing and Midwifery Council (KNMC) where applicable.
The Laboratory Technician shall operate within the Kenya Nairobi facility premises during standard business hours (Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 17:00 EAT) and shall be available for on-call shifts as required by the clinical schedule. All work performed under this Purchase Order shall comply with the Public Health Act (Cap 242) of Kenya, the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) laboratory accreditation requirements, and the occupational health and safety regulations enforced by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) in Kenya Nairobi.

- Commencement Date: The Laboratory Technician shall report for duty at the Kenya Nairobi facility no later than 1 July 2025. The supplier shall confirm the identity, qualifications, and professional registration of the Laboratory Technician in writing at least five (5) business days prior to the commencement date.
- Contract Duration: This Purchase Order covers an initial engagement period of twelve (12) months, renewable upon mutual written agreement. Either party may terminate the engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice.
- Payment Terms: Payment shall be made within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice from the supplier. All payments shall be processed via bank transfer to the supplier's designated account in Kenya Nairobi. The buyer reserves the right to withhold payment for any period in which the Laboratory Technician fails to meet the performance standards outlined in the service-level agreement.
- Compliance & Regulation: The Laboratory Technician must maintain valid professional registration with the KMLTA and comply with all data protection requirements under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019. All patient samples and records handled in Kenya Nairobi shall be treated with strict confidentiality.
- Performance Standards: The Laboratory Technician shall achieve a minimum sample turnaround accuracy rate of 98.5% as verified by the Quality Assurance unit of the buyer. Failure to meet this standard for two consecutive months shall constitute grounds for immediate review of this Purchase Order.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. Should resolution not be achieved within thirty (30) days, the matter shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration Act (Cap 49) of Kenya, with the seat of arbitration in Kenya Nairobi.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. All proceedings shall be conducted in the English language.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this Purchase Order due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed lockdowns in Kenya Nairobi, or epidemics declared by the Ministry of Health.
