4. Delivery & Commencement Details

The Laboratory Technician shall commence duties no later than 1 August 2025 at the Wellington Regional Health Laboratories premises, 12 Cuba Street, Te Aro, Wellington 6011, New Zealand Wellington. The supplier is required to confirm the identity, qualifications, and right-to-work status of the Laboratory Technician no fewer than ten (10) business days prior to the commencement date. All onboarding, occupational health screening, and site-specific induction training must be completed within the first five (5) working days of employment.

5. Payment Terms

Payment for this Purchase Order shall be made on a monthly basis, invoiced in arrears on the last working day of each calendar month. The supplier shall submit a detailed invoice referencing Purchase Order number NZ-WLG-2025-04872. Payment will be processed within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid invoice via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the supplier's nominated New Zealand bank account. Late payments shall attract interest at the rate prescribed under the New Zealand Late Payment of Debts Regulations 2020.

6. Terms & Conditions

This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved in the District Court of Wellington, New Zealand.
The Laboratory Technician engaged under this Purchase Order must hold a minimum qualification of a National Certificate in Laboratory Technology (Level 4) or equivalent, as recognised by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).
The supplier warrants that the Laboratory Technician shall comply with all applicable New Zealand workplace health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, and all site-specific safety protocols at the Wellington facility.
The supplier shall maintain valid employer's liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of NZD 10,000,000 for the duration of this Purchase Order.
All work performed by the Laboratory Technician shall adhere to the New Zealand Laboratory Accreditation Programme (NZLAP) standards and the Wellington Regional Health Laboratories' internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The supplier may not subcontract or assign the Laboratory Technician role to any third party without prior written consent from the Purchasing Entity.
Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the supplier shall be compensated for services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
All intellectual property, data, and research findings generated by the Laboratory Technician during the term of this Purchase Order shall remain the sole property of Wellington Regional Health Laboratories Ltd.
The supplier shall comply with all New Zealand employment law, including the Employment Relations Act 2000, the Holidays Act 2003, and the Minimum Wages Act 1983, in respect of the Laboratory Technician's engagement.
This Purchase Order is valid for acceptance within thirty (30) days of the issue date. Failure to accept within this period shall render this Purchase Order null and void.
