The contracted Laboratory Technician shall report directly to the Chief of Laboratory Operations at the buyer's primary facility in Philippines Manila. The Laboratory Technician is expected to perform the following core functions throughout the contract period:
- Collect, process, and analyze biological, chemical, and microbiological samples in accordance with ISO 15189:2022 standards applicable in the Philippines Manila healthcare sector.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments including centrifuges, spectrophotometers, microscopes, and automated analyzers.
- Maintain accurate and complete laboratory records, ensuring compliance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality control reports to the supervising pathologist and laboratory director.
- Assist in the implementation of the laboratory's Quality Management System (QMS) and participate in internal and external audits conducted by the Food and Drug Administration of the Philippines (FDA) and the Department of Health (DOH) in Philippines Manila.
- Ensure strict adherence to biosafety protocols and waste disposal regulations as prescribed by the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) of the Philippines.
- Acceptance: This Purchase Order shall become binding upon written acceptance by the Seller. The Seller must confirm acceptance in writing within five (5) business days from the date of issue. Failure to respond within this period shall render this Purchase Order null and void.
- Commencement of Services: The Laboratory Technician shall commence duties on or before July 1, 2025, at the designated facility in Philippines Manila. Any delay in commencement beyond ten (10) calendar days without prior written approval from the Buyer shall entitle the Buyer to terminate this Purchase Order without penalty.
- Payment Schedule: Payment for the Laboratory Technician services shall be made on a monthly basis, due within thirty (30) days from the date of the corresponding invoice. All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account designated by Pacific Science Workforce Solutions, Inc. in the Philippines Manila banking system.
- Qualifications: The Laboratory Technician assigned under this Purchase Order must hold a valid license from the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or a related field, and have at least three (3) years of documented experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting in the Philippines Manila area or equivalent.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of material breach by the Laboratory Technician or the Seller, the Buyer reserves the right to terminate immediately upon written notice, in accordance with the Civil Code of the Philippines.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising herefrom shall be resolved through the courts of competent jurisdiction in Philippines Manila, Metro Manila.
- Confidentiality: The Laboratory Technician shall be bound by a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) covering all proprietary data, patient records, and operational information of the Buyer. This obligation shall survive the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of three (3) years.
- Compliance: All services rendered under this Purchase Order shall comply with the Labor Code of the Philippines, the Philippine Standard on Laboratory Accreditation, and all applicable local ordinances of the City of Makati and the National Capital Region (NCR) in Philippines Manila.
