Description of Procured ServicesThis Purchase Order is issued by the Colombo Metropolitan Health & Diagnostics Centre to formally procure the professional services of a qualified Laboratory Technician to be deployed at our primary facility located in Sri Lanka Colombo. The Laboratory Technician shall be responsible for performing a comprehensive range of diagnostic laboratory procedures, including but not limited to haematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, serology, and urinalysis testing. The selected Laboratory Technician must hold a minimum of a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Sri Lanka Medical Council and the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka.
The Laboratory Technician shall operate within the clinical diagnostics wing of our facility in Sri Lanka Colombo, ensuring that all sample processing, instrument calibration, quality control procedures, and result reporting are conducted in strict compliance with the Sri Lankan Standards Institution (SLS) guidelines and the World Health Organization (WHO) laboratory safety protocols. This Purchase Order covers a twelve (12) month engagement period, commencing on 01 August 2025 and concluding on 31 July 2026, with the option for renewal subject to mutual agreement and performance evaluation.

- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Buyer and the Supplier upon countersignature. All terms herein govern the procurement and deployment of the Laboratory Technician at the designated facility in Sri Lanka Colombo.
- The Laboratory Technician shall report to the Head of Clinical Diagnostics at the Colombo Metropolitan Health & Diagnostics Centre, Sri Lanka Colombo, no later than 09:00 AM on 01 August 2025. Failure to commence within five (5) business days of the start date shall entitle the Buyer to cancel this Purchase Order without penalty.
- The Supplier warrants that the Laboratory Technician shall possess valid professional registration, a current medical fitness certificate, and all requisite immunisations as mandated by the Sri Lankan Ministry of Health for laboratory personnel operating in Sri Lanka Colombo.
- Payment shall be made in monthly instalments of LKR 241,900.00 (inclusive of VAT) via bank transfer to the Supplier's designated account, due within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice. The first payment shall be due on 15 August 2025.
- The Laboratory Technician shall be subject to a ninety (90) day probationary period. During this period, the Buyer reserves the right to terminate this Purchase Order with seven (7) days written notice if performance standards are not met, as defined in the attached Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- All laboratory waste generated by the Laboratory Technician during operations in Sri Lanka Colombo shall be disposed of in accordance with the National Environmental Act of Sri Lanka and the Pollution Control Department regulations.
- Confidentiality: The Laboratory Technician shall be bound by a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) covering all patient data, proprietary diagnostic methodologies, and institutional records encountered during the engagement in Sri Lanka Colombo.
- Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in accordance with the Arbitration Act No. 11 of 1995 of Sri Lanka.
- This Purchase Order may be amended only by written addendum signed by both parties. No verbal modifications to the scope of the Laboratory Technician's duties or the financial terms shall be valid.
- The Supplier shall maintain professional indemnity insurance of no less than LKR 5,000,000.00 covering the Laboratory Technician for the duration of this engagement in Sri Lanka Colombo.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and accept all terms, conditions, and obligations set forth in this Purchase Order for the procurement of Laboratory Technician services at the Sri Lanka Colombo facility.
