This Purchase Order is issued by the Bibliothèque Municipale de Paris to formally procure the services of a qualified Librarian to be deployed at the central library facility located in the 1st arrondissement of France Paris. The Librarian shall be responsible for the curation, cataloguing, digitization, and public-facing management of the municipal collection, which encompasses over 2.4 million volumes spanning French literature, European philosophy, scientific manuscripts, and multilingual periodicals. The selected Librarian must hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Library Science (Diplôme de Master en Sciences de l'Information et des Bibliothèques) and demonstrate at least five (5) years of professional experience in a public or academic library setting within France or an equivalent European institution.

The Librarian's duties in France Paris shall include but are not limited to: daily management of the circulation desk, supervision of the digital cataloguing system (SIRUS), coordination of inter-library loan requests across the Paris metropolitan network, organization of community reading programmes in the 75001 district, and oversight of the conservation of rare manuscripts housed in the climate-controlled archive on the second floor. The Librarian shall report directly to the Head of Acquisitions and shall adhere to all operational protocols established by the municipal authority of France Paris.

5.1 This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the French Republic. Any disputes arising from the execution of this Purchase Order concerning the Librarian services in France Paris shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tribunal de Commerce de Paris.

5.2 The Librarian(s) engaged under this Purchase Order shall comply with all French labour regulations, including the Code du Travail, and shall be subject to the collective bargaining agreements applicable to the public library sector in France Paris.

5.3 Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice from the Supplier. Payment shall be executed via SEPA bank transfer to the IBAN specified in Section 2. Late payments shall incur interest at the rate prescribed by Article L441-10 of the French Commercial Code.

5.4 The Supplier guarantees that the Librarian(s) provided shall meet all qualifications stated in Section 3. Failure to meet these qualifications entitles the Purchasing Entity to terminate this Purchase Order without penalty and to seek a replacement Librarian at no additional cost.

5.5 All personal data processed in connection with this Purchase Order and the employment of the Librarian in France Paris shall comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés).

5.6 This Purchase Order is valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of issue, after which it may be renewed by mutual written agreement between both parties.

The Librarian shall be required to be present on-site from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, and on Saturday mornings from 09:00 to 13:00, in accordance with the public opening hours of the library in France Paris.

NOTE: This Purchase Order constitutes a binding commitment upon signature by both parties. The Librarian services described herein are specific to the municipal library network of France Paris and may not be transferred or subcontracted to any third party without prior written consent from the Head of Acquisitions, Bibliothèque Municipale de Paris.
