- Scope of Work: The Librarian engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform all duties consistent with the professional standards set by the Philippine Library Association (PLA) and the Accrediting Agency for Philippine Schools and Colleges (AACC). The Librarian's primary duty station shall be the Manila Public Library main branch in Philippines Manila, with occasional travel to satellite branches in Quezon City, Pasig, and Makati as required.
- Contract Duration: This Purchase Order covers a twelve (12) month engagement period commencing on August 1, 2025, and terminating on July 31, 2026, unless renewed by mutual written agreement of both parties. Any extension of the Librarian's contract shall require a supplemental Purchase Order issued by the Manila Public Library Authority.
- Payment Terms: Payment for the Librarian's monthly retainer shall be made on the last working day of each month via bank transfer to the account designated by Manila Professional Staffing Solutions Inc. The one-time fees (Items 2, 4, and 5) shall be settled within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this Purchase Order. All payments are subject to the applicable withholding tax rates under the National Internal Revenue Code of the Philippines.
- Compliance with Local Regulations: The Librarian must hold a valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license as a Registered Librarian in the Philippines. The vendor shall ensure that all employment documentation complies with the Labor Code of the Philippines, the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), and the local ordinances of the City of Manila, Philippines Manila.
- Performance Standards: The Librarian shall be evaluated quarterly by the Director of the Manila Public Library Authority. Failure to meet the established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for three consecutive quarters shall constitute grounds for early termination of this Purchase Order, subject to a thirty (30) day written notice.
- Confidentiality: The Librarian shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding patron records, inter-institutional agreements, and proprietary collection data. A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) shall be executed prior to the commencement of duties in Philippines Manila.
