  1. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Harare Metropolitan Library Authority and the Zimbabwe Professional Librarians Association for the provision of Librarian services within the Zimbabwe Harare jurisdiction.
  2. The appointed Librarian must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science from a recognised institution in Zimbabwe or an equivalent qualification accepted by the Zimbabwe National Library and Archives Commission.
  3. All services described in this Purchase Order shall be performed at the designated facility in Zimbabwe Harare, specifically at 12 Samora Machel Avenue, Harare, during standard business hours (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 SAST).
  4. Payment shall be made within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid invoice from the supplier. All payments shall be processed in United States Dollars (USD) via bank transfer to the account specified in Section 1, in compliance with the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe foreign exchange regulations.
  5. The Librarian shall be subject to the Labour Act of Zimbabwe (Chapter 28:01) and all applicable employment legislation governing professional workers in Zimbabwe Harare.
  6. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Zimbabwe, with the seat of arbitration being Harare, Zimbabwe.
  7. The supplier warrants that the Librarian placed under this Purchase Order shall maintain all professional certifications in good standing throughout the contract duration and shall comply with the Code of Ethics of the Zimbabwe Professional Librarians Association.
  8. This Purchase Order may be amended only by mutual written agreement of both parties. No verbal modifications to the scope, pricing, or duration of Librarian services shall be valid.
  9. Force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, or civil unrest affecting Zimbabwe Harare, shall suspend obligations under this Purchase Order without penalty to either party.
  10. All intellectual property, catalogue data, and digital records created or managed by the Librarian during the term of this Purchase Order shall remain the sole property of the Harare Metropolitan Library Authority.

The Librarian shall report for duty at the Zimbabwe Harare central library facility no later than 01 July 2025. A two-week orientation period shall be provided during which the Librarian will be introduced to the existing catalogue systems, reader databases, and operational procedures specific to the Zimbabwe Harare public library network. The supplier shall confirm in writing, within five (5) business days of this Purchase Order, that the nominated Librarian meets all qualification requirements and is available for the stated commencement date.
