- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Purchasing Party and the Supplier for the provision of Marine Engineer services exclusively within the jurisdiction of Qatar Doha, State of Qatar.
- The Marine Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order must hold a valid Class 1 Marine Engineer Certificate issued by a recognized maritime authority and must possess a minimum of ten (10) years of documented experience in commercial vessel operations.
- All work performed by the Marine Engineer shall comply with the Qatar Maritime Authority (QMA) regulations, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) conventions, and the classification rules of Lloyd's Register or an equivalent body.
- The Supplier shall ensure that the Marine Engineer is in possession of a valid Qatar work permit, residence visa, and all necessary professional registrations prior to commencing operations in Qatar Doha.
- Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice from the Supplier, via bank transfer to the account specified in Section 2 of this Purchase Order.
- The Marine Engineer shall submit a comprehensive progress report to the Purchasing Party on the 15th of each month, detailing all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities carried out at the Qatar Doha port facilities.
- Any variation or amendment to the scope of work defined in this Purchase Order must be agreed upon in writing by both parties prior to execution. No verbal instructions shall be binding.
- The Supplier shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of QAR 5,000,000 for the duration of this Purchase Order, valid in the State of Qatar.
- In the event of non-performance or breach by the Marine Engineer, the Purchasing Party reserves the right to terminate this Purchase Order with fourteen (14) days written notice, subject to the dispute resolution clause below.
- All disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Doha, Qatar, in accordance with the rules of the Qatar International Arbitration Centre (QIAC).
- This Purchase Order is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar.
The Marine Engineer shall report to the designated operations office at Doha Port, Qatar Doha, no later than 08:00 hours on 1 July 2025. The contract duration for this Purchase Order shall be twelve (12) months from the commencement date, unless extended by mutual written agreement of both parties.
6. Acceptance and AuthorizationBy signing below, both parties acknowledge and accept all terms, conditions, and obligations set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of the Marine Engineer in Qatar Doha.
