Project Details – Pakistan KarachiThis Purchase Order is issued for the procurement of professional Mason services, masonry materials, and related construction labour for the residential and commercial building project located at Pakistan Karachi, specifically at the Al-Madina Heights development site in DHA Phase 6, Karachi. - This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between Al-Madina Construction & Development (Pvt.) Ltd. and Karachi Mason & Tile Works (Pvt.) Ltd. for the execution of all Mason works at the designated site in Pakistan Karachi.
- The Mason contractor shall mobilize all skilled masons, helpers, tools, and equipment to the Karachi site within three (3) working days of the acceptance of this Purchase Order.
- Payment shall be made in monthly progress installments based on certified work completion. A 10% retention shall be withheld from each installment and released upon final handover and defect-liability period expiry (twelve months).
- All masonry materials (bricks, cement, sand, tiles, granite, waterproofing compounds) shall be sourced from approved suppliers in Karachi and shall meet the Pakistan Standards & Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) specifications.
- The Mason contractor is responsible for the safety of all workers on site in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations of the Sindh Labour Department, Karachi.
- Any variation or change order to the scope of Mason work must be approved in writing by the Buyer's Project Engineer before execution. No additional payment shall be made for unapproved variations.
- The Mason contractor shall submit a detailed weekly progress report every Friday to the Buyer's site office in Karachi, including photographs, quantity measurements, and material consumption logs.
- In the event of force majeure (including but not limited to monsoon flooding common in Karachi, government-imposed work stoppages, or natural disasters), the affected party shall notify the other within 48 hours, and the project timeline shall be extended equitably.
- All disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1940 of Pakistan. The language of arbitration shall be English.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The jurisdiction of the courts of Karachi, Sindh, shall be exclusive.
- The Mason contractor shall maintain valid insurance coverage (workmen's compensation and third-party liability) for the entire duration of the project in Pakistan Karachi.
