4.3 Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice from the Mathematician, provided that all deliverables have been accepted in writing by the Directorate's Technical Review Board. Payment shall be executed via bank transfer to the IBAN specified in Section 1 of this Purchase Order.

4.4 The Mathematician warrants that all mathematical models, algorithms, proofs, and documentation produced under this Purchase Order shall be original work, free from any intellectual property encumbrance, and shall not infringe upon the rights of any third party. Full intellectual property rights to all deliverables shall vest in the Brussels Federal Science & Technology Directorate upon final payment.

4.5 The Mathematician shall comply with all applicable Belgian data protection regulations, including the Belgian Data Protection Act of 30 July 2018 and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Any personal data processed in the course of this engagement shall be handled in strict accordance with these provisions.

4.6 This Purchase Order may be amended only by mutual written agreement between the parties. No oral modification shall be binding. Any change in scope, timeline, or pricing must be documented in a formal amendment to this Purchase Order, signed by both parties.

4.7 The Mathematician shall maintain professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of €1,000,000 per claim, valid throughout the duration of this Purchase Order and for a further two (2) years thereafter. A certificate of insurance shall be provided to the Directorate prior to commencement of work.

4.8 In the event of non-performance or material breach by the Mathematician, the Directorate reserves the right to terminate this Purchase Order with immediate written notice, without prejudice to any claim for damages or specific performance under Belgian law.
