Payment for services rendered under this Purchase Order shall be made in Colombian Pesos (COP) via bank transfer to the account designated by the Mathematician. The payment schedule is structured as follows: thirty percent (30%) upon execution of this Purchase Order, forty percent (40%) upon completion of the mid-term deliverables (Items 01 and 02), and the remaining thirty percent (30%) upon final acceptance of all deliverables. All payments are subject to the withholding tax (retención en la fuente) applicable under Colombian tax law. The Mathematician shall issue a formal factura electrónica in accordance with the DIAN (Dirección de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales) regulations for Colombia Bogotá.
The services described in this Purchase Order shall commence on July 1, 2025, and conclude on December 15, 2025. All on-site activities, including seminars, workshops, and research supervision, shall take place at the primary campus of the Universidad Nacional de Ciencias Aplicadas, located in Colombia Bogotá, Cundinamarca. Remote work may be performed from any location within Colombia Bogotá, provided that all deliverables meet the quality standards specified herein. The Mathematician is expected to be physically present at the Colombia Bogotá campus a minimum of three (3) days per week for the duration of this engagement.
5.1. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Buyer and the Mathematician upon signature by both parties. 5.2. The Mathematician warrants that all mathematical work, models, and publications produced under this Purchase Order shall be original and free from intellectual property infringement. 5.3. The Buyer reserves the right to terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days written notice in the event of non-performance or breach of contract by the Mathematician. 5.4. All disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Colombia Bogotá, in accordance with the Colombian Commercial Code. 5.5. The Mathematician shall maintain professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of COP 200,000,000 for the duration of this engagement. 5.6. Confidentiality: All data, research findings, and institutional information accessed by the Mathematician in the course of this Purchase Order shall be treated as strictly confidential and shall not be disclosed to third parties without written authorization from the Buyer.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and obligations set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of the Mathematician in Colombia Bogotá.
