1. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Buyer and the Mathematician supplier for the duration specified herein. All services must be rendered in Ethiopia Addis Ababa unless otherwise approved in writing by the Procurement Officer.
2. The Mathematician shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, including but not limited to the Ethiopian Labor Proclamation No. 1156/2019 and the Ethiopian Tax and Revenue Authority guidelines for professional service providers operating in Addis Ababa.
3. Payment shall be made in monthly installments within thirty (30) calendar days following the submission of a valid invoice by the Mathematician. All payments shall be processed in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) through the Addis Ababa University central accounting office.
4. The Mathematician is required to maintain a minimum of twenty (20) working hours per week on-site at the designated facility in Ethiopia Addis Ababa. Any absence exceeding three (3) consecutive working days must be reported to the Procurement Officer in advance.
5. All intellectual property, research data, mathematical models, and publications generated under this Purchase Order shall remain the sole property of the Buyer. The Mathematician shall not reproduce, distribute, or publish any such materials without prior written consent.
6. The Mathematician shall provide a comprehensive progress report at the end of each month, detailing the mathematical analyses performed, models developed, and outcomes achieved during the reporting period in Ethiopia Addis Ababa.
7. This Purchase Order may be terminated by either party with a written notice of thirty (30) days. In the event of termination, the Buyer shall compensate the Mathematician for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
8. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through amicable negotiation. Should negotiation fail, the matter shall be referred to the competent courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in accordance with Ethiopian civil law.
9. The Mathematician shall maintain professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of ETB 500,000 for the entire duration of this Purchase Order, valid within the territory of Ethiopia.

The Mathematician shall commence services on or before 1 July 2025 at the Addis Ababa University campus, Bole, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The final deliverables, including all mathematical documentation, code repositories, and published works, shall be submitted no later than 31 December 2025. The Mathematician shall ensure that all work products are delivered in both printed and digital formats to the Research & Development Directorate office in Ethiopia Addis Ababa.
