This Purchase Order is issued by the National Institute of Applied Sciences, New Delhi, for the engagement of a qualified Mathematician to provide specialized consultancy services in the field of applied mathematics, numerical analysis, and statistical modelling. The Mathematician engaged under this Purchase Order shall be responsible for the following deliverables, all of which must be completed in accordance with the academic and professional standards recognized by the Indian Mathematical Society and the National Academy of Sciences, India New Delhi:
- Written mathematical models, derivations, and proofs delivered in LaTeX format, accompanied by a plain-language executive summary for non-technical stakeholders.
- Weekly progress reports submitted every Friday to the Buyer's Project Management Office in India New Delhi, detailing completed tasks, pending items, and anticipated challenges.
- At least two in-person review meetings per month at the Buyer's facility in India New Delhi, during which the Mathematician shall present interim findings and solicit feedback.
- A final comprehensive report, no fewer than 120 pages in length, containing all mathematical formulations, supporting appendices, and a bibliography of no fewer than 80 peer-reviewed references.
- Source code for all computational implementations, written in Python or MATLAB, with full documentation and unit test suites.
- 4.1 This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Republic of India, and any disputes arising from its interpretation or execution shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India New Delhi.
- 4.2 The Mathematician warrants that all work delivered under this Purchase Order shall be original, free from plagiarism, and shall not infringe upon any intellectual property rights of third parties. The Buyer shall hold full ownership of all deliverables upon final payment.
- 4.3 Payment shall be made in three equal instalments: 30% upon acceptance of this Purchase Order, 40% upon delivery of the interim report, and 30% upon final acceptance of all deliverables. Payments shall be processed via NEFT/RTGS to the account specified by the Mathematician.
- 4.4 The Mathematician shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of INR 50,00,000 for the duration of the engagement, with the Buyer named as an additional insured party.
- 4.5 Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with a written notice of 30 days. In the event of termination, the Buyer shall pay for all services rendered up to the date of termination, and the Mathematician shall deliver all work-in-progress materials.
- 4.6 The Mathematician shall comply with all applicable data protection regulations under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and shall not disclose any confidential information pertaining to the Buyer's research projects to any third party without prior written consent.
- 4.7 All communications, invoices, and official correspondence related to this Purchase Order shall be directed to the addresses specified in Section 1, located in India New Delhi.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions set forth in this Purchase Order. This document constitutes a binding agreement for the procurement of Mathematician consultancy services in India New Delhi.
