This Purchase Order authorises the engagement of a qualified Mathematician to provide specialised analytical and modelling services to Meridian Analytics & Research Group Ltd. The Mathematician shall deliver the following professional services within the New Zealand Auckland metropolitan area and its surrounding regions:
- Development and validation of stochastic differential equation models for financial risk assessment, to be conducted at the New Zealand Auckland office premises.
- Design of optimisation algorithms for supply chain logistics serving the New Zealand Auckland port and distribution network.
- Statistical analysis and peer-reviewed methodology consultation for a government-funded research grant administered from New Zealand Auckland.
- Preparation of three (3) technical white papers on topological data analysis applications, to be presented at the New Zealand Auckland Mathematical Society annual conference.
- Mentorship and supervision of two (2) postgraduate research students enrolled at the University of Auckland, New Zealand Auckland campus.
- On-site consultation sessions (minimum 12 hours per month) at the New Zealand Auckland CBD office, with additional remote availability as required.

- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of New Zealand and shall be interpreted in accordance with the New Zealand Contract and Commercial Law Act 2014.
- The Mathematician shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of NZD 2,000,000 for the duration of this engagement in New Zealand Auckland.
- All intellectual property developed under this Purchase Order shall vest in Meridian Analytics & Research Group Ltd., subject to a non-exclusive licence retained by the Mathematician for academic publication purposes.
- The Mathematician agrees to comply with all New Zealand data privacy obligations under the Privacy Act 2020 when handling research data within New Zealand Auckland.
- Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the account nominated by the Mathematician within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice issued in New Zealand Auckland.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with fourteen (14) days written notice. In the event of termination, the Mathematician shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the termination date.
- All disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in New Zealand Auckland before any litigation is commenced in the District Court of New Zealand Auckland.
- The Mathematician warrants that all deliverables shall be of a professional standard consistent with the norms of the New Zealand Auckland mathematical and scientific research community.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of the Mathematician in New Zealand Auckland. This document constitutes a binding agreement upon execution by both parties.
