- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the University of Colombo (hereinafter "the Buyer") and the named Mathematician (hereinafter "the Service Provider") for the provision of academic and research services in Sri Lanka Colombo.
- The Mathematician shall maintain all professional qualifications, academic credentials, and institutional affiliations current throughout the duration of this Purchase Order. Any change in professional status must be communicated to the Buyer within 7 calendar days.
- All services described in this Purchase Order shall be performed with the highest degree of academic integrity, mathematical rigour, and professional conduct expected of a senior Mathematician in the Sri Lankan academic community.
- Payment shall be processed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) via bank transfer to the account designated by the Mathematician. Invoices must be submitted to the Procurement Office, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka Colombo, no later than the 5th of each month for services rendered in the preceding month.
- The Mathematician shall be available for a minimum of 35 hours per week during the academic term (August to May) and 20 hours per week during the summer period (June to July) at the Sri Lanka Colombo campus or as otherwise specified in this Purchase Order.
- Intellectual property arising from research conducted under this Purchase Order shall be jointly owned by the University of Colombo and the Mathematician, with publication rights shared equally. All theorems, proofs, and mathematical frameworks developed shall be documented and archived at the University of Colombo library in Sri Lanka Colombo.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with 60 days written notice. In the event of termination, the Mathematician shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
- This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Sri Lanka Colombo in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Sri Lanka.
- The Mathematician agrees to comply with all data protection regulations applicable in Sri Lanka Colombo and shall not disclose any confidential student data, unpublished research, or internal university communications to third parties.
- Any amendments to this Purchase Order must be made in writing and signed by both the authorized representative of the University of Colombo and the Mathematician. Verbal agreements shall hold no legal weight under this Purchase Order.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and accept all terms, conditions, and service specifications outlined in this Purchase Order. The Mathematician confirms readiness to commence services as per the schedule above at the designated locations in Sri Lanka Colombo.
