1. Description of Purchase — Engagement of a Mathematician

This Purchase Order is issued by the University of Khartoum, located in Sudan Khartoum, to formally engage the services of a qualified Mathematician for the academic year 2025/2026. The Mathematician shall provide specialized expertise in the fields of algebraic topology, numerical analysis, and applied differential equations to support the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences. 3. Terms and Conditions
  1. Place of Performance: All services under this Purchase Order shall be rendered at the University of Khartoum campus in Sudan Khartoum, specifically at the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, El-Dur, Khartoum. The Mathematician is expected to be physically present on campus no fewer than four (4) days per week.
  2. Payment Schedule: Payment shall be made in three (3) equal installments: 40% upon commencement of services, 35% upon completion of the first semester, and 25% upon final delivery of all project outputs. Payments shall be processed via bank transfer to the account designated by the Mathematician in a licensed Sudanese financial institution.
  3. Intellectual Property: All research findings, lecture notes, and the textbook developed under this Purchase Order shall be jointly owned by the University of Khartoum and the Mathematician. The university retains the right to reproduce and distribute educational materials for academic purposes within Sudan Khartoum and the broader Republic of Sudan.
  4. Compliance: The Mathematician shall comply with all applicable laws of the Republic of Sudan, including the Sudanese Labor Act, the Higher Education Act, and any regulations issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research pertaining to academic engagements in Sudan Khartoum.
  5. Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days written notice. In the event of termination for cause, the terminating party shall be liable for any documented losses incurred by the other party.
  6. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall first be subject to mediation. If unresolved within sixty (60) days, the matter shall be referred to the competent courts in Sudan Khartoum in accordance with Sudanese civil law.
  7. Confidentiality: The Mathematician agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all unpublished research data, student records, and internal university communications encountered during the performance of duties under this Purchase Order.
  8. Force Majeure: Neither party shall be held liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil unrest, or government-imposed restrictions affecting operations in Sudan Khartoum.
4. Acceptance and Authorization

By signing below, both parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms set forth in this Purchase Order. This document constitutes a binding agreement for the engagement of the Mathematician by the University of Khartoum in Sudan Khartoum for the duration and scope described herein.
