Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities

This Purchase Order authorises the engagement of a qualified Mechatronics Engineer to perform integrated mechanical, electrical, and software engineering tasks at the Buyer's manufacturing and R&D facility in Australia Brisbane. The Mechatronics Engineer shall be responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance of automated control systems, including but not limited to:

  • Design and programming of PLC-based control systems (Siemens S7-1500, Allen-Bradley ControlLogix) for automated assembly lines.
  • Integration of SCADA and HMI interfaces to enable real-time monitoring of production processes at the Australia Brisbane site.
  • Development and deployment of embedded firmware for custom sensor arrays and actuator control modules.
  • Commissioning and calibration of industrial robotic cells (FANUC, KUKA) for precision manufacturing tasks.
  • Conducting root-cause analysis on system failures and implementing corrective engineering actions within 48 hours of fault notification.
  • Collaboration with the Buyer's internal engineering team in Australia Brisbane to ensure compliance with AS/NZS standards and Australian Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.
  • Preparation of weekly progress reports and monthly technical summaries for the Buyer's Project Governance Committee.
Payment Terms & Conditions
  • Payment Schedule: The total contract value shall be paid in quarterly instalments of $49,637.50 (AUD, incl. GST), due on the 28th day of the last month of each quarter (30 September, 31 December, 31 March, 30 June).
  • Payment Method: Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the Supplier's nominated Australian bank account. All payments are subject to the Buyer receiving a valid tax invoice in accordance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements.
  • Retention: A retention sum of 5% ($9,927.50) shall be withheld from each quarterly payment and released in full upon satisfactory completion of the Knowledge Transfer Package (Ref 03).
  • Late Payment: Interest on overdue amounts shall accrue at the rate of 1.5% per month, in accordance with the Interest on Late Payments Act 1998 (Qld).
  • Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with 30 days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Buyer shall pay for all services rendered up to the termination date at the rates specified herein.
  • Insurance: The Supplier shall maintain Professional Indemnity Insurance of no less than AUD $10,000,000 and Public Liability Insurance of no less than AUD $20,000,000 for the duration of the engagement in Australia Brisbane.
  • Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved by the Queensland Small Claims Commission or the Supreme Court of Queensland, Brisbane, as appropriate.
  • Confidentiality: All technical data, proprietary designs, and operational information accessed by the Mechatronics Engineer during the course of this engagement in Australia Brisbane shall be treated as strictly confidential and shall not be disclosed to any third party without prior written consent from the Buyer.
Commencement & Delivery

The Mechatronics Engineer shall commence duties no later than 1 July 2025 at the Buyer's facility located at 400 George Street, Australia Brisbane, Queensland 4000. The Supplier shall ensure that the Mechatronics Engineer holds a valid Australian working visa or permanent residency and possesses a minimum of eight (8) years of post-qualification experience in mechatronic systems engineering. A current White Card (General Construction Induction) and site-specific safety induction shall be completed prior to first-day access.
