This Purchase Order is issued by Wellington Advanced Manufacturing Ltd. to formally engage the services of a qualified Mechatronics Engineer to be provided by Apex Mechatronics Solutions Ltd. The Mechatronics Engineer shall be based at our primary operations facility in New Zealand Wellington and shall perform integrated mechanical, electrical, and software engineering tasks in support of our automated production lines, robotics systems, and industrial control infrastructure. The scope of this Purchase Order encompasses the full professional engagement of the Mechatronics Engineer for the stated contract duration, including all associated deliverables, reporting obligations, and on-site presence requirements within the New Zealand Wellington metropolitan area.

The Mechatronics Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order shall be responsible for the following duties while operating from the New Zealand Wellington facility:
- Design, develop, and commission integrated mechatronic systems combining mechanical assemblies, electrical control circuits, and embedded software for automated manufacturing cells.
- Programme and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) across all production lines.
- Lead the integration and calibration of industrial robotic arms, conveyor systems, and sensor networks within the Wellington plant.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on system failures and implement corrective engineering solutions to minimise unplanned downtime.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, as-built drawings, and maintenance schedules in compliance with New Zealand Standards (NZS) and applicable Australian/New Zealand electrical safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the in-house electrical and mechanical teams based in New Zealand Wellington to ensure seamless cross-discipline coordination.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineering staff and participate in continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Acceptance: This Purchase Order shall become a binding contract upon written acceptance by Apex Mechatronics Solutions Ltd. within five (5) business days of the date of issue. Failure to respond within this period shall constitute rejection of this Purchase Order.
- Qualifications: The Mechatronics Engineer assigned to this engagement must hold a minimum of a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronics) or equivalent qualification recognised by Engineers New Zealand, and must be a registered Professional Engineer (PrEng) or hold a valid Graduate Engineer (GradIEAust) status.
- Compliance: All work performed under this Purchase Order shall comply with the New Zealand Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010, and all applicable local bylaws of the Wellington City Council.
- Confidentiality: The Mechatronics Engineer shall be bound by a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) covering all proprietary designs, trade secrets, and operational data encountered during the engagement in New Zealand Wellington.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days’ written notice. In the event of termination, the supplier shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
- Insurance: The supplier shall maintain public liability insurance of no less than NZD $20,000,000 and professional indemnity insurance of no less than NZD $5,000,000 for the duration of this Purchase Order.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved in accordance with the New Zealand Disputes Tribunal Act 2012 or, where the amount in dispute exceeds NZD $50,000, through the courts of New Zealand Wellington.
- Intellectual Property: All designs, code, documentation, and intellectual property created specifically for Wellington Advanced Manufacturing Ltd. under this Purchase Order shall remain the sole property of the buyer upon full payment.
This Purchase Order is authorised and issued by the undersigned on behalf of Wellington Advanced Manufacturing Ltd. The supplier acknowledges receipt and acceptance of all terms set forth in this document relating to the engagement of the Mechatronics Engineer in New Zealand Wellington.
