The Mechatronics Engineer(s) engaged under this Purchase Order shall be responsible for the following duties within the United Kingdom Manchester operational site:
- Design and development of integrated mechatronic systems combining mechanical, electrical, and software components for automated manufacturing processes.
- Selection, configuration, and programming of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo motors, and industrial sensors.
- Implementation of real-time control algorithms and embedded firmware for precision motion control and process regulation.
- Integration of industrial communication protocols including PROFINET, EtherCAT, OPC UA, and Modbus TCP across the Manchester, United Kingdom production floor.
- Conducting risk assessments, functional safety analysis, and compliance verification in accordance with UK Machinery Regulations 2008 and relevant IEC standards.
- Providing ongoing technical support, root-cause analysis, and corrective action reporting to the Northern Industrial Automation Ltd. project management team.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software developers, and production managers based in the United Kingdom Manchester headquarters.
- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between Northern Industrial Automation Ltd. and Precision Mechatronics Solutions Ltd. for the provision of Mechatronics Engineer professional services in Manchester, United Kingdom.
- All Mechatronics Engineer personnel assigned to this contract must hold a minimum of a BEng/MEng degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline, and possess relevant UK professional registration (e.g., CEng with IMechE or IET).
- The Service Provider shall ensure that all Mechatronics Engineer staff comply with UK health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, and shall provide valid right-to-work documentation for the United Kingdom.
- Payment shall be made via BACS transfer to the account specified by the Service Provider within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid VAT invoice referencing this Purchase Order number.
- Any variation to the scope of Mechatronics Engineer services must be agreed in writing via a formal Purchase Order amendment. No verbal instructions shall constitute a contractual variation.
- The Service Provider shall maintain professional indemnity insurance of no less than £5,000,000 and employers' liability insurance of no less than £10,000,000 for the duration of this engagement in the United Kingdom Manchester area.
- Intellectual property developed specifically for Northern Industrial Automation Ltd. under this Purchase Order shall vest in the Purchasing Entity upon full payment. The Mechatronics Engineer shall sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to commencing work.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Manchester, United Kingdom.
- Termination may be effected by either party with ninety (90) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Service Provider shall be compensated for all Mechatronics Engineer services rendered up to the termination date.
