The Medical Researcher engaged under this Purchase Order must satisfy the following minimum criteria to ensure alignment with the standards expected by the Almaty Biomedical Research Consortium and the regulatory authorities of Kazakhstan:

  • A Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Medicine, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of post-doctoral research experience in clinical or translational medicine, with at least two (2) peer-reviewed publications in internationally indexed journals.
  • Proficiency in the Kazakh and Russian languages sufficient to conduct patient-facing research activities and liaise with the Almaty City Health Committee, as well as fluency in English for international collaboration.
  • A valid medical licence or research registration issued by the relevant Kazakhstani authority, or a commitment to obtain such registration within sixty (60) days of commencing duties in Almaty.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing GCP (Good Clinical Practice) compliant studies and familiarity with the ethical review processes of the Almaty Regional Ethics Committee.
  1. Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and applicable regulations of the Almaty municipal administration.
  2. Delivery / Commencement: The Medical Researcher must be physically present and operational at the ABRC facility in Almaty no later than 01 September 2025. Failure to commence within fourteen (14) calendar days of the required start date shall entitle ABRC to terminate this Purchase Order without penalty.
  3. Payment Schedule: Invoices shall be submitted monthly by the 5th business day. Payment shall be processed within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice. All payments shall be made in Kazakhstani Tenge (KZT) via bank transfer to the vendor's designated account in Almaty.
  4. Intellectual Property: All research data, publications, patents, and intellectual property generated by the Medical Researcher during the term of this Purchase Order shall be the sole property of the Almaty Biomedical Research Consortium, subject to standard academic attribution rights.
  5. Confidentiality: The Medical Researcher shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient data, proprietary research methodologies, and unpublished findings in accordance with Kazakhstan's Law on Personal Data Protection (No. 108-V, 2014).
  6. Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with sixty (60) days' written notice. ABRC may terminate immediately for material breach, gross negligence, or violation of Kazakhstani research ethics regulations.
  7. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall first be subject to mediation in Almaty. If unresolved within thirty (30) days, the matter shall be referred to the Almaty City Arbitration Court.
  8. Compliance: The vendor warrants that the Medical Researcher shall comply with all applicable laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including but not limited to labour regulations, tax obligations, and research ethics codes enforced in Almaty.

This Purchase Order constitutes a binding procurement commitment upon signature by both parties. The undersigned hereby authorize the engagement of the specified Medical Researcher for the duration and scope described herein, to be carried out at the ABRC research facility located in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
