All amounts are denominated in Nepalese Rupees (NPR). Payment shall be processed via bank transfer to the Meteorologist's designated account in Nepal Kathmandu.
- Commencement and Duration: The Meteorologist shall commence duties on 1 July 2025 at the Nepal Kathmandu headquarters. The engagement period under this Purchase Order is twelve (12) months, extendable by mutual written agreement for an additional six (6) months.
- Performance Standards: The Meteorologist is expected to deliver all forecasts, reports, and advisories in accordance with the operational guidelines of the Nepal Meteorological and Hydrological Department. All data submissions must be completed no later than 06:00 NPT (Nepal Time) on the due date.
- Payment Schedule: Payment shall be made in quarterly installments within thirty (30) days of the end of each quarter, subject to satisfactory delivery of all line-item obligations. The final installment shall include a performance review conducted by the Department's Quality Assurance Cell in Nepal Kathmandu.
- Confidentiality: The Meteorologist shall treat all unpublished meteorological data, internal forecasts, and operational records of the Department as strictly confidential. This obligation survives the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of three (3) years.
- Intellectual Property: All reports, models, analyses, and data products generated under this Purchase Order shall remain the exclusive property of the Nepal Meteorological and Hydrological Department, Nepal Kathmandu.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination for cause, the Meteorologist shall be compensated only for services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Nepal. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Nepal Kathmandu in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1994 of Nepal.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to natural disasters, government orders, or other events beyond reasonable control, provided written notice is given within 72 hours of the event.
This Purchase Order constitutes a formal and binding procurement instrument. By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and deliverables specified herein. The Meteorologist confirms availability to perform all services in Nepal Kathmandu as outlined in this document.
