- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Lagos State Meteorological & Environmental Services Board and the named Meteorologist upon signature by both parties. All services shall be rendered in accordance with the standards set by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
- The Meteorologist shall maintain valid professional insurance coverage of no less than NGN 50,000,000 for the duration of this contract and shall provide a certificate of insurance upon request.
- All deliverables, forecasts, and reports shall be submitted to the LAMESB headquarters in Nigeria Lagos no later than 06:00 WAT for daily forecasts and 17:00 WAT for weekly analyses. Electronic copies shall be transmitted via the LAMESB secure portal, and hard copies shall be delivered to the Victoria Island office in Nigeria Lagos.
- Payment shall be made in quarterly instalments within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of an approved invoice. The first instalment of NGN 12,232,156.25 shall be due upon commencement of services. All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account specified in Section 1.
- The Meteorologist shall comply with all applicable data protection regulations under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and shall not disclose any proprietary or sensitive meteorological data collected in Nigeria Lagos to third parties without written consent from LAMESB.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days written notice. In the event of termination, the Meteorologist shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the date of termination, less any outstanding deliverables.
- All disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act (Cap A18, LFN 2004), with the seat of arbitration in Nigeria Lagos.
- The Meteorologist shall be available for emergency consultations at no additional cost during declared weather emergencies in Nigeria Lagos, including but not limited to tropical cyclone warnings, flash flood alerts, and extreme heat advisories.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and all legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Nigeria Lagos.
