- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between Sasol Energy & Climate Solutions (Pty) Ltd and the named Meteorologist supplier upon signature by both parties. All services shall be rendered in accordance with the South African National Standards (SANS) and the regulations of the South African Weather Service (SAWS).
- The Meteorologist shall maintain full professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of ZAR 5,000,000 for the duration of this Purchase Order and shall provide a certificate of insurance prior to commencement of services in South Africa Johannesburg.
- Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice. Invoices must reference this Purchase Order number (PO-2025-JHB-MET-0472) and be submitted to the Accounts Payable department at the Sandton, South Africa Johannesburg head office.
- The Meteorologist is required to be physically present at the South Africa Johannesburg operations centre no fewer than three (3) days per week, with the remaining days available for remote monitoring and reporting. All on-site work shall comply with the company's occupational health and safety policies.
- All data, forecasts, reports, and intellectual property generated under this Purchase Order shall become the sole property of Sasol Energy & Climate Solutions (Pty) Ltd. The Meteorologist shall not disclose proprietary weather data or operational information to third parties without written consent.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Meteorologist shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination, and all monitoring equipment shall be returned to the South Africa Johannesburg site in working condition.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the High Court in South Africa Johannesburg.
- The Meteorologist shall comply with all applicable South African legislation, including the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA), the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in the handling of any personal data collected during the engagement.
