Description of Purchase

This Purchase Order is issued by the Singapore Singapore Marine Research Institute to procure specialized oceanographic instrumentation, field equipment, and technical services required for the ongoing marine research programme led by Dr. Wei Ling Tan, Senior Oceanographer. Terms and Conditions
  1. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Singapore Singapore Marine Research Institute (Buyer) and Pacific Oceanographic Instruments Pte. Ltd. (Seller) upon signature by both parties. All terms are governed by the laws of Singapore Singapore.
  2. All oceanographic equipment specified in this Purchase Order must be delivered, installed, and fully operational at the Singapore Singapore Marine Research Institute premises no later than 30 July 2025. The Oceanographer, Dr. Wei Ling Tan, will conduct final acceptance testing within five (5) working days of delivery.
  3. Payment terms: 30% advance payment upon confirmation of this Purchase Order, 50% upon delivery and successful commissioning in Singapore Singapore, and 20% upon completion of the 30-day performance warranty period.
  4. All oceanographic instruments must comply with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards for marine measurement equipment and must be certified for use in the tropical marine environment of Singapore Singapore, including saltwater corrosion resistance ratings of minimum IP68.
  5. The Seller warrants that all equipment supplied under this Purchase Order is new, unused, and free from defects. The warranty period is twenty-four (24) months from the date of acceptance by the Oceanographer in Singapore Singapore.
  6. Delivery and installation shall be coordinated with the Oceanographer's field schedule. The Seller must provide a detailed delivery and commissioning plan to the Singapore Singapore Marine Research Institute procurement office at least fourteen (14) days prior to the required delivery date.
  7. Any modifications, substitutions, or changes to the equipment specifications listed in this Purchase Order must be approved in writing by both the Buyer's procurement officer and the Principal Oceanographer before implementation.
  8. The Seller shall provide all necessary documentation, including calibration certificates, user manuals, safety data sheets, and regulatory compliance certificates for import into Singapore Singapore, as required by the Singapore Singapore Customs and the National Environment Agency.
  9. Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Singapore Singapore, and if unresolved, through arbitration under the rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).
  10. This Purchase Order is valid for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of issue. If not accepted within this period, the Buyer reserves the right to cancel or renegotiate terms without liability.

By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in this Purchase Order for the procurement of oceanographic equipment and services for use by the Oceanographer at the Singapore Singapore Marine Research Institute.
