This Purchase Order is issued by the Karachi Institute of Advanced Scientific Research to formally engage a qualified Physicist for specialized consultancy and research support services to be delivered in Pakistan Karachi. • Payment shall be made in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) via bank transfer to the Physicist's designated account in a licensed commercial bank operating in Pakistan Karachi.
• 30% advance payment (PKR 723,000) shall be disbursed within 7 working days of acceptance of this Purchase Order.
• Remaining 70% shall be paid in monthly installments upon submission of a signed service completion certificate by the Director of Research Procurement.
• All payments are subject to applicable withholding tax as per the Income Tax Ordinance 2001 of Pakistan. The Physicist shall provide a valid NTN and CNIC for tax compliance.
• Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 1.5% per month as per the terms of this Purchase Order.

• This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Purchasing Party and the Physicist upon signature by both parties.
• The Physicist shall maintain professional confidentiality regarding all proprietary research data, experimental results, and institutional information encountered during the engagement in Pakistan Karachi.
• The Physicist is engaged as an independent contractor and not as an employee of KIASR. No employer-employee relationship is created by this Purchase Order.
• The Physicist shall comply with all applicable laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, including the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority Act, the Higher Education Commission regulations, and local municipal bylaws of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.
• Any modification, amendment, or cancellation of this Purchase Order must be made in writing and signed by both parties. Verbal agreements shall not be valid.
• The Physicist shall carry professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of PKR 10,000,000 for the duration of the engagement.
• Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Pakistan Karachi in accordance with the Arbitration Act 1940 of Pakistan. The seat of arbitration shall be the Karachi Arbitration Centre.
• The Physicist shall submit a detailed progress report to the Purchasing Party on the 15th of every month during the engagement period.
• Force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed lockdowns in Pakistan Karachi, or acts of war, shall relieve both parties from performance obligations for the duration of such events.

By signing below, both parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of the Physicist in Pakistan Karachi.
