1. Scope of Work: This Purchase Order authorizes the Plumber, Alemu Professional Plumbing & Pipe Fitting Services, to perform the plumbing services as itemized above at the designated service location in Ethiopia Addis Ababa. The Plumber shall adhere strictly to the specifications, timelines, and quality standards outlined in this document. Any deviation from the described scope must be approved in writing by the authorized representative of AAWASA prior to execution.
2. Quality Assurance: All plumbing work performed under this Purchase Order must meet or exceed the standards established by the Ethiopian Standards Agency (ESA) and the Addis Ababa City Administration Department of Urban Development. The Plumber shall conduct pressure tests on all newly installed or repaired pipe sections and provide written test results to the AAWASA facilities management team upon completion of each line item.
3. Workmanship Warranty: The Plumber shall provide a minimum warranty period of twelve (12) months on all labor and workmanship performed under this Purchase Order. During this warranty period, any defects arising from faulty workmanship shall be repaired by the Plumber at no additional cost to AAWASA. Material warranties shall be governed by the respective manufacturer's terms.
4. Payment Terms: Payment of the total amount of ETB 591,560.00 (Five Hundred Ninety-One Thousand Five Hundred Sixty Ethiopian Birr) shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of the Plumber's submission of a valid tax invoice, a signed completion certificate from the AAWASA site supervisor, and all required supporting documentation. Payment shall be processed via bank transfer to the Plumber's designated account at Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa branch.
5. Cancellation and Modification: AAWASA reserves the right to cancel or modify this Purchase Order in whole or in part, subject to written notice to the Plumber. In the event of partial cancellation, the Plumber shall be compensated for work already completed and materials already procured specifically for this Purchase Order, at the rates stated herein.
6. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: The Plumber shall comply with all applicable occupational health and safety regulations in Ethiopia, including those issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The Plumber shall ensure that all waste materials, including old pipes, fittings, and chemical treatment byproducts, are disposed of in accordance with the Addis Ababa City Administration waste management directives.
7. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall first be attempted to be resolved through amicable negotiation between the parties. If unresolved within fifteen (15) days, the matter shall be referred to the Addis Ababa City Administration Arbitration Panel in accordance with Ethiopian commercial law.
8. Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, including the Ethiopian Civil Code and applicable tax legislation.
