Terms and Conditions
- This Purchase Order is issued by the City of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and governs the procurement of Police Officer services and associated materials. All parties acknowledge jurisdiction under the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada.
- The vendor shall ensure that the Police Officer candidate meets all statutory requirements set forth in the British Columbia Police Act, including minimum age, residency, physical fitness, and moral character standards applicable to law enforcement personnel in Canada Vancouver.
- Payment terms: Net 30 days from the date of invoice receipt. Payment shall be processed via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the vendor's registered business account in Canada. No payment shall be due until all deliverables under this Purchase Order have been accepted in writing by the Vancouver Police Department Procurement Division.
- The Police Officer shall be subject to a 90-day probationary period following the start date. During this period, the vendor remains responsible for any reassignment or replacement costs if the officer does not meet performance standards as defined by the Canada Vancouver Police Board.
- All equipment and materials listed in this Purchase Order must be delivered to the Vancouver Police Department headquarters at 1001 West Cordova Street, Vancouver, BC. The vendor bears all shipping and handling costs within the Canada Vancouver metropolitan area.
- The vendor warrants that all services and goods provided under this Purchase Order shall be free from defects and shall comply with all applicable Canadian federal and provincial regulations, including the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Privacy Act (Canada).
- Confidentiality: All personnel records, background checks, and training materials associated with the Police Officer shall be treated as confidential and shall not be disclosed to any third party without written authorization from the City of Vancouver.
