4. Purpose and Scope
This Purchase Order is issued by the Kenya Police Service, Nairobi Headquarters, to procure standardized operational equipment, protective gear, and field supplies for the deployment and daily operations of a Police Officer assigned to the Nairobi Metropolitan Police Command. The items listed below are intended to ensure that each Police Officer operating within the Kenya Nairobi jurisdiction is fully equipped in accordance with the Kenya Police Service Uniform and Equipment Regulations (2019) and the standards set forth by the Inspector General of Police. 6. Delivery and Acceptance
All items specified in this Purchase Order shall be delivered to the Kenya Police Service, Nairobi Headquarters, Logistics and Equipment Store, Haile Selassie Avenue, Nairobi, Kenya. The supplier shall ensure that all equipment is new, unused, and in full compliance with the specifications outlined in the Kenya Police Service Equipment Procurement Manual. Upon delivery, a designated Police Officer from the Nairobi Metropolitan Command shall inspect each item for quality, correct sizing, and conformity to the Purchase Order specifications. Acceptance shall be confirmed in writing within five (5) business days of delivery. Any defective or non-conforming items must be replaced at the supplier's expense within ten (10) business days.
7. Terms and Conditions
7.1 This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya and the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (2015), as amended.
7.2 The supplier warrants that all goods are free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of acceptance.
7.3 Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the supplier's designated account within thirty (30) days of the date of a valid tax invoice and confirmed acceptance of goods.
7.4 The supplier shall comply with all applicable Kenya Police Service security protocols during the delivery process at the Nairobi facility.
7.5 This Purchase Order may not be assigned or subcontracted without prior written consent from the Kenya Police Service Procurement Division, Nairobi.
7.6 In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to resolve matters through mediation in Nairobi, Kenya, before resorting to litigation in the High Court of Kenya at Nairobi.
7.7 The supplier shall maintain all records related to this Purchase Order for a minimum period of seven (7) years in accordance with Kenyan public records retention policy.
