- This Purchase Order is issued by the University of British Columbia, Canada Vancouver Campus, on behalf of Professor Dr. Eleanor M. Whitfield, Department of Applied Physics. All goods and services listed herein are to be delivered to the address specified above in Canada Vancouver, British Columbia.
- The supplier shall ensure that all equipment is fully calibrated, tested, and compliant with Canadian Safety Standards (CSA) prior to shipment. The Professor's laboratory requires all instruments to meet ISO 17025 calibration traceability requirements.
- Delivery shall be made no later than July 15, 2025, to the Canada Vancouver campus address. Late delivery beyond ten (10) business days entitles the University to cancel this Purchase Order without penalty and seek alternative procurement.
- Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice, provided that all items conform to the specifications outlined in this Purchase Order. Payment will be processed via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the supplier's designated Canadian banking account.
- The supplier warrants all equipment for a minimum of twenty-four (24) months from the date of installation. During the warranty period, the supplier shall provide on-site repair or replacement at no additional cost to the University or the Professor's research group.
- All intellectual property, data, and research outputs generated through the use of the purchased equipment remain the sole property of the University of British Columbia and Professor Whitfield. The supplier shall not claim any rights over research data collected in Canada Vancouver.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Canada Vancouver, British Columbia.
- The supplier acknowledges that the equipment is being procured for academic research purposes under the direction of a tenured Professor at a public university in Canada Vancouver. All handling, installation, and training personnel must complete the University's site-access and safety orientation prior to entering the laboratory.
- Any modifications, substitutions, or changes to the items listed in this Purchase Order must be approved in writing by both the requesting Professor and the University's Procurement Office before execution.
