1. This Purchase Order is issued by the University of Wellington, a public tertiary institution located in Wellington, New Zealand, and is governed by the laws of New Zealand, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Goods and Services Tax Act 1985.
2. The supplier acknowledges that all items listed herein are procured for the use of Professor Aroha Ngata and her research team within the Department of Marine Biology. The Professor retains final acceptance authority over all delivered goods.
3. Delivery must be made to the specified address in Wellington, New Zealand, by the required delivery date. Late delivery beyond five (5) business days entitles the University to cancel this Purchase Order without penalty.
4. All equipment must be new, unused, and accompanied by full manufacturer warranties of no less than two (2) years. Calibration certificates must be provided for all precision instruments.
5. Payment will be processed via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the supplier’s nominated New Zealand bank account within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid tax invoice referencing this Purchase Order number.
6. The supplier shall comply with all applicable New Zealand occupational health and safety regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, when delivering and installing equipment on the University premises in Wellington.
7. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved in the District Court of Wellington, New Zealand, or by mediation through the New Zealand Dispute Resolution Service.
8. This Purchase Order becomes binding upon written or electronic acceptance by the supplier. No modifications to scope, pricing, or delivery terms are valid unless documented in a written amendment signed by both parties.
Note: This Purchase Order has been prepared at the request of Professor Aroha Ngata to support her ongoing research into coastal marine biodiversity in the Wellington region. The items listed are essential for the continuation of her funded research project (Contract No. MFAT-2025-0341) and for the delivery of her postgraduate teaching programme. All deliveries must be coordinated with the University’s Facilities Management team in Wellington to ensure safe handling of sensitive laboratory equipment.
