Terms and Conditions of this Purchase Order
- This Purchase Order is issued by the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka Colombo, for the procurement of academic and research equipment specifically designated for Professor Dr. Nimal Perera, Chair Professor of Applied Mathematics. All items listed herein are to be delivered to the Professor's departmental office at the Colombo campus.
- The supplier shall deliver all goods and complete all installation services within Sri Lanka Colombo no later than 30 June 2025. Failure to meet this deadline shall entitle the University to a penalty of 0.5% of the total Purchase Order value per day of delay, up to a maximum of 10%.
- Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice from the supplier, subject to satisfactory inspection and acceptance of all goods by the Professor and the undersigned Dean's office. Payment shall be processed via bank transfer to the supplier's registered account in Sri Lanka.
- All equipment must carry a minimum manufacturer's warranty of two (2) years, with on-site service coverage within the Sri Lanka Colombo metropolitan area. The Professor's office shall be the primary point of contact for any warranty claims or technical support.
- The supplier warrants that all goods are new, unused, and free from defects. Any item found to be defective within the warranty period shall be replaced at no additional cost to the University of Colombo.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the courts of competent jurisdiction in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
- The Professor's name and title shall be appropriately referenced on all custom items (nameplates, signage) as specified. The supplier shall confirm the exact wording in writing prior to production.
- This Purchase Order may be amended only by mutual written agreement between the University of Colombo procurement office and the supplier. No verbal modifications shall be binding.
- All delivery and installation work shall be conducted during normal business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday) at the Sri Lanka Colombo campus to minimize disruption to the Professor's teaching and research schedule.
