This Purchase Order is issued by Atlas Robotics Solutions (Pty) Ltd, a registered engineering firm operating out of South Africa Cape Town, to formally procure the services of a qualified Robotics Engineer on a full-time contractual basis. The Robotics Engineer shall be deployed to our primary facility located at 12 Innovation Drive, Technology Park, Cape Town, and shall report directly to the Chief Technology Officer. The engagement is governed by the Labour Relations Act 66 of 1995 and the Skills Development Act 97 of 1998 as applicable in the Republic of South Africa.
The Robotics Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform the following duties and responsibilities at the South Africa Cape Town facility:
- Design, develop, and commission industrial robotic systems for automated manufacturing lines, including but not limited to robotic arms, collaborative robots (cobots), and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
- Programme and configure PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMI interfaces, and industrial communication protocols (PROFINET, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP) for robotic workstations.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and safety compliance audits in accordance with SANS 10142 and the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993.
- Oversee the integration of robotic subsystems with existing production infrastructure, including SCADA systems, ERP interfaces, and IoT sensor networks.
- Provide technical mentorship and training to junior engineering staff and operators at the Cape Town site.
- Maintain and troubleshoot robotic equipment, ensuring a minimum uptime of 95% across all deployed systems.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, as-built drawings, and maintenance schedules for all robotic installations.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source specialised components, actuators, end-effectors, and control hardware from approved vendors.

Payment for this Purchase Order shall be made on a monthly basis in arrears. Invoices shall be submitted by the 5th business day of each month for services rendered in the preceding month. Payment shall be effected via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the supplier's designated bank account within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice. All amounts are denominated in South African Rand (ZAR). Late payments shall attract interest at the rate prescribed by the Late Payment of Interest and Costs Act 15 of 2015.
- This Purchase Order is subject to the standard terms and conditions of Atlas Robotics Solutions (Pty) Ltd, which are incorporated herein by reference.
- The Robotics Engineer shall comply with all applicable South African legislation, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act 75 of 1997, the Employment Equity Act 55 of 1998, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993.
- The supplier warrants that the Robotics Engineer possesses a minimum of a BEng or BSc (Honours) in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, with a minimum of five (5) years of post-qualification experience in industrial robotics.
- All work performed under this Purchase Order shall take place at the South Africa Cape Town facility unless prior written approval is granted for remote or off-site work.
- Intellectual property developed during the course of this engagement shall vest in Atlas Robotics Solutions (Pty) Ltd upon full payment.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the supplier shall facilitate a smooth handover of all project documentation and ongoing work.
- The supplier shall maintain comprehensive professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance with a minimum cover of R5,000,000 for the duration of this Purchase Order.
- Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved in accordance with the rules of the CCMA (Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration) or, failing conciliation, in the High Court of South Africa, Western Cape Division, Cape Town.
- This Purchase Order does not constitute a permanent employment contract. The Robotics Engineer remains an employee of the supplier for all purposes of South African labour law.
By signing below, the parties acknowledge and accept all terms, conditions, and obligations set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of a Robotics Engineer at the South Africa Cape Town facility of Atlas Robotics Solutions (Pty) Ltd.
