The School Counselor engaged under this Purchase Order must hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a related discipline, and must be a fully registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or the British Psychological Society (BPS). The School Counselor shall operate in strict compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, the UK GDPR, and all safeguarding legislation applicable in United Kingdom Manchester. All student records and case notes must be stored in accordance with the Trust's information governance policy and the General Data Protection Regulation as applied in the United Kingdom.
The School Counselor shall conduct a minimum of 25 individual counselling sessions per week, deliver two group support sessions per week, and produce a monthly welfare report to the Head of Student Services. The School Counselor is also required to attend all Trust-wide safeguarding meetings, contribute to the school's Behaviour Policy review, and liaise with external agencies including Manchester Children's Services, CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services), and local education welfare officers based in United Kingdom Manchester.
5. Terms and Conditions- This Purchase Order is issued in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Manchester Metropolitan Schools Trust Procurement Policy (2024 revision). All terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Payment shall be made within 30 days of receipt of a valid invoice from the supplier. Invoices must reference this Purchase Order number (PO-MAN-2025-04782) and include the supplier's VAT registration number.
- The supplier warrants that the School Counselor assigned to this contract shall maintain full professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of £5,000,000 per claim throughout the duration of this Purchase Order.
- The supplier shall provide a valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check for the School Counselor prior to commencement of duties. The check must be issued within 3 months of the start date and renewed annually.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with 8 weeks' written notice. In the event of termination, the School Counselor shall complete all ongoing student sessions and hand over case files in a manner that ensures continuity of care for students in United Kingdom Manchester.
- All intellectual property, case notes, and student data generated during the engagement under this Purchase Order shall remain the property of Manchester Metropolitan Schools Trust. The supplier shall not retain copies beyond the statutory retention period.
- The supplier shall comply with all health and safety regulations, including the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, and shall ensure the School Counselor completes all mandatory Trust inductions and site-specific safety briefings within the first 5 working days.
- Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Manchester, United Kingdom, before escalation to the courts of England and Wales.
- This Purchase Order supersedes all prior quotations, verbal agreements, and correspondence between the parties regarding the engagement of a School Counselor for the 2025/2026 academic year.
