- Scope of Engagement: The Social Worker engaged under this Purchase Order shall operate in full compliance with the Social Work Act of Tanzania (Cap. 373) and all applicable regulations issued by the Ministry of Gender, Employment and Labour. All services shall be delivered within the administrative boundaries of Tanzania Dar es Salaam.
- Qualifications: The Social Worker must hold a valid professional licence issued by the Tanzania Social Work Council and maintain a minimum of five (5) years of post-qualification experience in community-based social work practice in Tanzania Dar es Salaam or equivalent urban settings.
- Payment Terms: Payment shall be made in monthly instalments within thirty (30) days of receipt of an approved invoice from the Social Worker. Payment shall be processed via bank transfer to the account designated by the Social Worker. All amounts are denominated in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS).
- Performance Standards: The Social Worker shall submit a written monthly activity report to the Tanzania Dar es Salaam Municipal Social Development Office no later than the fifth (5th) business day of the following month. Failure to submit reports for two consecutive months shall constitute a material breach of this Purchase Order.
- Confidentiality: The Social Worker shall maintain strict confidentiality of all client information in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2022 of Tanzania. No client records pertaining to services delivered in Tanzania Dar es Salaam shall be disclosed to any third party without written consent or a court order.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order by providing sixty (60) days written notice. The Buyer may terminate immediately for cause, including but not limited to professional misconduct, loss of Social Worker licence, or failure to meet performance standards.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the courts of Tanzania Dar es Salaam.
- Insurance: The Social Worker shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of TZS 50,000,000 for the duration of this Purchase Order and shall provide a certificate of insurance to the Buyer upon request.
Services under this Purchase Order shall commence on 1 July 2025 and shall continue for a period of twelve (12) months, concluding on 30 June 2026, unless extended by mutual written agreement. The Social Worker shall report to the Municipal Social Development Office premises in Tanzania Dar es Salaam on the first business day of each month for coordination and shall maintain a dedicated mobile phone and email address for emergency referrals throughout the contract period.
