This Purchase Order is issued by the Birmingham Metropolitan Education Authority to procure the services of a qualified Special Education Teacher for deployment across designated primary and secondary schools within the Birmingham local authority area, United Kingdom. The Special Education Teacher engaged under this Purchase Order shall operate within the geographical boundaries of the Birmingham metropolitan area, United Kingdom, and shall report directly to the Head of Inclusive Education at the Birmingham Metropolitan Education Authority. Key deliverables include:

  • Delivery of differentiated, evidence-based instruction tailored to the individual needs of each student with SEND across all assigned Birmingham school sites.
  • Development, implementation, and annual review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with the UK Equality Act 2010 and the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice 2015.
  • Collaboration with class teachers, educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and parents/guardians within the Birmingham community to ensure holistic student support.
  • Completion of statutory assessments and reporting in line with the UK national curriculum and Birmingham local authority SEND policy.
  • Participation in at least two professional development workshops per term hosted by the Birmingham Education Partnership.
  • Maintenance of accurate records and data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  1. Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order relating to the Special Education Teacher engagement in Birmingham shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
  2. Payment: Invoices shall be submitted monthly in arrears. Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice. Late payments shall accrue interest at the rate of 4% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
  3. Compliance: The Special Education Teacher must hold a valid QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent, along with a current Enhanced DBS check (UK) and a valid Teaching Registration Body (TRB) registration. All personnel must comply with Birmingham local authority safeguarding policies.
  4. Confidentiality: All parties shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding student data, assessment records, and proprietary teaching methodologies. This obligation survives termination of this Purchase Order for a period of five (5) years.
