4. Scope of Work and DeliverablesThis Purchase Order authorizes the procurement of professional services from a qualified Statistician to be performed at the premises of the Dhaka Statistical Research & Analytics Institute, located in Bangladesh Dhaka. The Statistician shall be responsible for designing and executing statistical surveys, performing multivariate analyses, developing predictive models for regional economic indicators, and providing expert testimony and advisory support to the institute's research teams. All deliverables shall be submitted in both English and Bangla as required by the institute's publication standards. The Statistician shall maintain strict confidentiality of all proprietary data handled during the engagement in Bangladesh Dhaka.
5. Terms and Conditions- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and shall be interpreted in accordance with the Bangladesh Contract Act, 1872, and applicable labor regulations in Bangladesh Dhaka.
- The Statistician shall commence duties no later than 1 July 2025 at the institute's office in Bangladesh Dhaka. Failure to commence within five (5) working days of the start date shall entitle the buyer to cancel this Purchase Order without penalty.
- Payment shall be made in monthly installments of BDT 185,000 (plus applicable tax) via bank transfer to the account specified in Section 2, within thirty (30) days of the end of each calendar month of service delivery.
- The Statistician shall be entitled to two (2) weeks of paid annual leave and shall observe all public holidays as declared by the Government of Bangladesh, including national holidays observed in Bangladesh Dhaka.
- All intellectual property, data sets, models, and publications produced under this Purchase Order shall remain the exclusive property of the Dhaka Statistical Research & Analytics Institute. The Statistician shall sign a non-disclosure and intellectual property assignment agreement prior to commencing work.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Statistician shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
- The Statistician shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of BDT 5,000,000, valid throughout the engagement period in Bangladesh Dhaka.
- Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Bangladesh Dhaka in accordance with the Bangladesh Arbitration Act, 2001. The seat of arbitration shall be Bangladesh Dhaka.
- This Purchase Order constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior negotiations, representations, or agreements relating to the engagement of the Statistician.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and obligations set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of the Statistician in Bangladesh Dhaka. This document is valid only when signed and stamped by authorized representatives of both parties.
