The Statistician engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform the following duties within the Kenya Nairobi operational area:
- Design and implement a statistically valid sampling methodology for a population survey covering all seven sub-counties of Kenya Nairobi.
- Conduct multivariate regression analyses, ANOVA, and time-series forecasting on datasets provided by the Consortium.
- Produce at least three (3) peer-quality statistical reports with full methodology appendices, to be delivered to the Kenya Nairobi office no later than the 45th day of each quarter.
- Provide on-site technical guidance to the Consortium's junior data analysts, ensuring adherence to international statistical standards (ISO 8000, ASA guidelines).
- Maintain full data integrity and confidentiality in compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, and all applicable regulations enforced in Kenya Nairobi.
- Attend bi-weekly progress review meetings at the Consortium's Westlands, Kenya Nairobi headquarters.
- Payment shall be made in Kenyan Shillings (KES) via bank transfer to the Supplier's designated account.
- 30% advance payment (KES 1,346,760) upon execution of this Purchase Order.
- 40% milestone payment (KES 1,795,680) upon delivery and acceptance of the second statistical report.
- 30% final payment (KES 1,346,760) upon completion of all deliverables and submission of the final comprehensive report.
- All invoices must reference this Purchase Order number (KEN-NBO-2025-04782) and shall be payable within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt.
- Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 1.5% per month as stipulated under Kenyan commercial law.
This Purchase Order shall become effective on 1 July 2025. The engagement of the Statistician shall run for a period of six (6) months, concluding on 31 December 2025, unless extended by mutual written agreement. All services shall be rendered primarily at the Consortium's office in Kenya Nairobi, with the option of remote work for up to two days per week subject to prior approval.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, and any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Kenya Nairobi in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1995.
- The Supplier warrants that the Statistician engaged holds a minimum of a Master's degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative discipline, and possesses a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in statistical consulting within East Africa.
- All intellectual property, data, and analytical outputs produced under this Purchase Order shall remain the exclusive property of the Buyer.
- The Supplier shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of KES 10,000,000 for the duration of the engagement.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, payment shall be made pro-rata for services rendered up to the termination date.
- The Statistician shall comply with all health, safety, and workplace regulations applicable in Kenya Nairobi, including those issued by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA).
- This Purchase Order does not create a partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between the parties.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and obligations set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of a Statistician in Kenya Nairobi. This document constitutes a binding commercial agreement upon execution by both authorized signatories.
