Description of Procurement

This Purchase Order is issued by Nepal Kathmandu Analytical Services Pvt. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Purchasing Entity") for the procurement of professional Statistician services to be rendered at the company's headquarters located in Nepal Kathmandu. The engagement of a qualified Statistician is required to support the organization's ongoing data analysis, survey methodology design, and quantitative research programs that serve the broader economic and social development objectives of Nepal. The Statistician shall be responsible for designing sampling frameworks, conducting inferential and descriptive statistical analyses, preparing technical reports, and providing expert consultation to cross-functional teams operating within the Nepal Kathmandu office and its regional field stations.

Terms and Conditions

1. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between Nepal Kathmandu Analytical Services Pvt. Ltd. and Himalayan Data & Statistics Consultancy for the provision of Statistician services. All terms herein shall be governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Nepal, including the Contract Act, 2023 and applicable labor regulations in Nepal Kathmandu.

2. The Statistician engaged under this Purchase Order must hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative discipline from a recognized Nepali or international university, and possess a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in statistical consulting, research, or data science.

3. All services shall be performed at the Purchasing Entity's office located at New Road, Kathmandu, Nepal, unless otherwise specified in writing. The Statistician shall comply with all internal policies, data security protocols, and confidentiality agreements of the Nepal Kathmandu office.

4. Payment shall be made in Nepalese Rupees (NPR) via bank transfer to the vendor's designated account in Kathmandu. Invoices shall be submitted at the end of each calendar month, and payment shall be processed within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid invoice and satisfactory delivery confirmation.

5. The Purchase Order may be terminated by either party with a written notice of thirty (30) days. In the event of early termination, the vendor shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the date of termination, less any applicable deductions as per the terms of this Purchase Order.

6. The Statistician shall maintain full confidentiality of all proprietary data, research findings, and internal documents accessed during the course of engagement at the Nepal Kathmandu facility. A breach of confidentiality shall render the vendor liable for damages as determined under applicable Nepali law.

7. All deliverables, including statistical reports, code, models, and documentation produced under this Purchase Order, shall become the exclusive intellectual property of Nepal Kathmandu Analytical Services Pvt. Ltd. upon full payment.

8. The vendor shall ensure that the Statistician is covered under the Social Security Fund (SSF) of Nepal and that all applicable statutory deductions, including income tax as per the Income Tax Act of Nepal, are duly processed.

9. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall first be attempted to be resolved through amicable negotiation. Failing resolution within fifteen (15) days, the matter shall be referred to the competent court of law in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Acceptance and Authorization

By signing below, both parties acknowledge and accept the terms, conditions, scope of work, and financial obligations outlined in this Purchase Order for the engagement of a Statistician at the Nepal Kathmandu office. This document is valid for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of issue, after which a revised Purchase Order must be issued to confirm the engagement.
