This Purchase Order is issued by the Nile Valley Research and Development Institute to formally engage the services of a qualified Statistician for the execution of statistical analysis, data modeling, and quantitative research support in the Sudan Khartoum region. The Statistician shall be responsible for the following deliverables:

- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Purchasing Entity and the Statistician service provider upon signature by both parties. All payments shall be made in Sudanese Pounds (SDG) via bank transfer to the account specified in Section 2.
- Payment Schedule: An initial advance payment of 25% (SDG 81,000) shall be disbursed within ten (10) business days of the execution of this Purchase Order. The remaining 75% shall be paid in three equal monthly installments of SDG 81,000, due on the 5th of July, August, and September 2025, respectively.
- All invoices submitted by the Statistician must reference this Purchase Order number (SUD-KRT-2025-0047) and must be accompanied by a detailed timesheet and supporting documentation for the services rendered in Sudan Khartoum.
- Late payments shall incur a penalty of 2% per month on the outstanding balance, calculated from the due date. The Statistician reserves the right to suspend services if any installment remains unpaid beyond fifteen (15) calendar days.
- All applicable taxes, including Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing Sudanese rate, shall be borne by the Purchasing Entity and are included in the unit prices stated above.
- The Statistician shall perform all professional services in accordance with the standards set forth by the Sudan Statistical Council and the International Association for Statistical Education. All work shall be conducted primarily at the NVRDI offices in Sudan Khartoum, with fieldwork as specified in the scope of services.
- The Statistician warrants that all data collected, analyzed, and reported shall be accurate, free from fabrication, and in full compliance with the Sudanese Data Protection and Privacy Act of 2022. Any breach of data integrity shall render this Purchase Order void at the sole discretion of the Purchasing Entity.
- Intellectual property rights for all reports, models, datasets, and analytical outputs produced under this Purchase Order shall vest exclusively with the Nile Valley Research and Development Institute. The Statistician may reference the engagement in professional portfolios only with prior written consent.
- The Statistician shall maintain professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of SDG 500,000 for the duration of the contract. A certificate of insurance shall be provided to the Purchasing Entity prior to commencement of work in Sudan Khartoum.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days written notice. In the event of termination, the Statistician shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the termination date, and all work-in-progress materials shall be delivered to the Purchasing Entity.
- Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Sudan Khartoum in accordance with the Sudanese Commercial Arbitration Law. If mediation fails, the matter shall be referred to the competent courts of Khartoum State.
- This Purchase Order is governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Sudan. The primary place of performance for all obligations under this document is Sudan Khartoum.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of a Statistician in Sudan Khartoum. This document, together with any attached annexes, forms the complete and exclusive agreement between the parties regarding the subject matter herein.
