This Purchase Order is issued by the Accra Regional Health Directorate to formally procure the professional services of a qualified Surgeon for deployment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and affiliated satellite clinics within the Greater Accra Region. The Surgeon shall provide general surgical, orthopedic, and emergency surgical services to patients in the Ghana Accra metropolitan area for a contract period of twelve (12) months, commencing on 1 August 2025.
The selected Surgeon must hold a valid medical license issued by the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana, possess a minimum of ten (10) years of post-qualification surgical experience, and demonstrate proficiency in laparoscopic, open, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. The Surgeon shall be required to maintain a minimum of forty (40) clinical hours per week at the designated facility in Ghana Accra, with an additional on-call availability of sixteen (16) hours per week for emergency surgical interventions.

- Acceptance: This Purchase Order shall become binding upon written acceptance by the Supplier within five (5) business days of the date of issue. Failure to accept within this period shall render this Purchase Order null and void.
- Commencement of Services: The Surgeon shall report for duty at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Ghana Accra, no later than 08:00 hours on 1 August 2025. A written confirmation of the Surgeon's availability and credential verification must be submitted to the Buyer no later than 25 July 2025.
- Payment Terms: Payment shall be made on a monthly basis within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid invoice. The first payment shall be due upon successful completion of the initial 30-day probationary period. All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account designated by the Supplier.
- Performance Standards: The Surgeon shall adhere to all clinical protocols, surgical guidelines, and patient safety standards established by the Ghana Health Service and the West African College of Surgeons. Quarterly performance reviews shall be conducted by the Buyer's Medical Board.
- Compliance: The Surgeon shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of Ghana, including but not limited to the Medical and Dental Council Act (Act 865), the Data Protection Act (Act 843), and all occupational health and safety regulations in force in Ghana Accra.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. The Buyer may terminate immediately in the event of gross professional misconduct, loss of medical license, or material breach of this Purchase Order by the Surgeon.
- Confidentiality: All patient records, clinical data, and proprietary information encountered during the course of this engagement shall remain strictly confidential. The Surgeon shall not disclose any such information to third parties without the written consent of the Buyer.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Ghana Accra in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 2025 (Act 1036).
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this Purchase Order due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, epidemics, or government-imposed restrictions affecting operations in Ghana Accra.
