The Translator Interpreter engaged under this Purchase Order must hold a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in simultaneous and consecutive interpretation, with demonstrated fluency in English, Twi, Ewe, and French. The Translator Interpreter must be a registered member of the Ghana National Association of Translators and Interpreters (GNATI) and must possess a valid professional license issued by the relevant regulatory body in Ghana Accra.
The Translator Interpreter shall be required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all proprietary business information, trade secrets, and sensitive regulatory documents encountered during the course of this engagement in Ghana Accra. A signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) must be executed prior to the commencement of services. The Translator Interpreter shall also be expected to arrive at all designated venues in Ghana Accra no later than thirty (30) minutes before the scheduled start of each session to conduct equipment checks, review briefing materials, and prepare for the interpretation task.
All written translations produced under this Purchase Order must be delivered in both digital (PDF and editable Word) and hard-copy formats. The Translator Interpreter shall ensure that all terminology aligns with the official glossary provided by the Buyer and complies with the linguistic standards recognized by the Ghanaian legal and commercial frameworks.
Payment for the services rendered under this Purchase Order shall be made in accordance with the following schedule:
- 30% Advance Payment: GHS 29,394.00 – Due within five (5) business days of the Buyer's written acceptance of this Purchase Order.
- 40% Mid-Engagement Payment: GHS 39,192.00 – Due upon completion of the International Trade Summit interpretation services (Item 02).
- 30% Final Payment: GHS 29,394.00 – Due within ten (10) business days following the successful completion of all services and submission of the final written translations (Item 03).
All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the Supplier's designated account. The Supplier shall issue a valid tax invoice for each payment tranche. Late payments shall attract a penalty of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and any disputes arising from its interpretation or performance shall be resolved through arbitration in Ghana Accra in accordance with the rules of the Ghana Arbitration Centre.
- The Supplier warrants that the Translator Interpreter assigned to this Purchase Order is fully qualified, insured, and free from any conflict of interest that could compromise the integrity of the services delivered in Ghana Accra.
- The Buyer reserves the right to terminate this Purchase Order with fourteen (14) days' written notice in the event of material breach, failure to meet professional standards, or force majeure circumstances beyond the reasonable control of either party.
- The Translator Interpreter shall be provided with reasonable working conditions, including access to interpretation equipment, adequate rest periods during multi-session events, and secure access to all relevant briefing documents.
- All intellectual property rights in the written translations produced under this Purchase Order shall vest exclusively in the Buyer upon full payment.
- This Purchase Order shall remain in full force and effect until all obligations of both parties have been satisfactorily discharged.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of a Translator Interpreter in Ghana Accra. This document constitutes a binding agreement between the Buyer and the Supplier effective from the date of the last signature.
