Description of Services – Translator Interpreter EngagementThis Purchase Order is issued by Meridian Global Communications Ltd. to formally request and authorize the engagement of a certified Translator Interpreter professional to provide comprehensive multilingual interpretation and translation services for a series of international business negotiations, technical workshops, and stakeholder meetings to be conducted in Zimbabwe Harare. The Translator Interpreter shall be responsible for facilitating seamless communication between English-speaking delegates and Shona, Ndebele, and French-speaking participants throughout the duration of the event programme.

Terms and Conditions1. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between Meridian Global Communications Ltd. and the named vendor upon signature by both authorized parties. All services described herein shall be rendered by a qualified and certified Translator Interpreter holding valid accreditation from the Zimbabwe Institute of Professional Interpreters and Translators (ZIPIT).
2. The Translator Interpreter shall report to the designated service location in Zimbabwe Harare no later than 30 minutes prior to the commencement of each scheduled session. Failure to appear without prior written notice (minimum 4 hours) shall result in a penalty of 10% of the daily rate for each occurrence.
3. All interpretation and translation work shall be conducted with strict adherence to confidentiality. The Translator Interpreter is required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to the commencement of services in Zimbabwe Harare. All documents, recordings, and notes shall be returned or destroyed upon completion of the engagement.
4. Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice from the vendor. Payment shall be processed via electronic funds transfer to the vendor's designated bank account in Zimbabwe. The Purchase Order number PO-ZW-2025-00847 must be referenced on all invoices and correspondence.
5. The vendor shall provide a minimum of two (2) qualified Translator Interpreter professionals to ensure continuity of service in the event of illness or unforeseen absence. The primary Translator Interpreter shall be the individual named in the vendor's acceptance of this Purchase Order.
6. All services shall be performed in compliance with the laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe, including but not limited to the Labour Act [Chapter 28:01] and the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) tax regulations applicable to professional services rendered in Zimbabwe Harare.
7. Any amendments, extensions, or modifications to this Purchase Order must be made in writing and signed by both parties. Verbal agreements shall not be enforceable. The Translator Interpreter engagement scope may be adjusted by mutual written consent, with corresponding adjustments to the total value of this Purchase Order.
8. In the event of a dispute arising from this Purchase Order, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. Should negotiation fail, the matter shall be referred to arbitration under the rules of the Zimbabwe Arbitration Centre in Zimbabwe Harare.
