4. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  1. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the University of Accra and the appointed University Lecturer for the academic year 2025/2026. All terms are subject to the institutional by-laws and the regulations of the University Council.
  2. Payment shall be made in Ghana Cedis (GHS) via bank transfer to the account specified in Section 2. Monthly salary disbursements shall be processed by the 25th of each month. Lump-sum items (Items 4, 5, 6, and 7) shall be paid upon verified delivery or completion of the respective service.
  3. The University Lecturer shall report for duty at the Legon Campus, Accra, Ghana, no later than 08:00 hours on 1 September 2025. Failure to commence without prior written approval from the Dean of the Faculty of Education may result in cancellation of this Purchase Order.
  4. All teaching, research, and administrative duties shall be performed in accordance with the academic calendar of the University of Accra and the quality assurance standards set by the National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE), Ghana.
  5. The University Lecturer is required to maintain valid professional registration with the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) and to comply with all data protection requirements under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana Accra jurisdiction.
  6. Any modification, amendment, or cancellation of this Purchase Order must be made in writing and signed by both the Procurement Officer and the University Lecturer. Verbal agreements shall not be enforceable.
  7. Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the internal grievance mechanism of the University of Accra. If unresolved within 30 days, the matter shall be referred to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Accra, Ghana.
  8. The University reserves the right to audit all expenditures related to this Purchase Order at any time during the contract period and for a period of three (3) years thereafter.
  9. All intellectual property produced by the University Lecturer in the course of duties funded under this Purchase Order shall be jointly owned by the University of Accra and the individual, subject to the institution's IP policy.
  10. This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, with particular reference to the Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651) and the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663) as applicable to academic institutions in Ghana Accra.
5. DELIVERY AND ACCEPTANCE

All physical goods (teaching materials, office furniture, digital equipment) listed under Item 4 and Item 5 shall be delivered to the Education Building, Legon Campus, Accra, Ghana, no later than 25 August 2025. Acceptance shall be confirmed in writing by the Departmental Head within five (5) working days of delivery. The University Lecturer shall inspect all items and sign the delivery receipt. Any defects or shortages must be reported within 72 hours of delivery.
