4. Terms and Conditions- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq and the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Any disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through the internal grievance mechanism of the University of Baghdad before escalation to the Baghdad Governorate administrative courts.
- The appointed University Lecturer shall commence duties on 1 September 2025 and shall continue until 31 May 2026, subject to satisfactory annual performance evaluation conducted by the Faculty Board.
- Payment shall be disbursed monthly via direct bank transfer to the account specified in Section 2. The first payment shall be processed within 15 working days of the commencement date. All payments are subject to standard Iraqi tax withholdings as mandated by the Ministry of Finance.
- The University Lecturer is required to maintain a minimum teaching load of 12 contact hours per week, attend all scheduled faculty and departmental meetings, and submit a written research progress report to the Dean's office by the end of each semester.
- This Purchase Order may be terminated by either party with a written notice of 30 calendar days. In the event of termination by the institution without cause, the University Lecturer shall be entitled to a severance payment equivalent to two months' base salary.
- The University Lecturer agrees to a non-compete clause for a period of 6 months following the termination of this engagement, within the academic institutions located in Iraq Baghdad and its immediate governorate.
- All intellectual property, research data, and course materials developed during the term of this Purchase Order shall remain the property of the University of Baghdad, with appropriate academic credit attributed to the University Lecturer.
- The University Lecturer shall comply with all institutional policies, including the code of conduct, academic integrity regulations, and data protection guidelines issued by the University of Baghdad and applicable Iraqi federal law.
- Any amendments to this Purchase Order must be made in writing and signed by both the authorized institutional representative and the University Lecturer. Verbal modifications shall hold no legal standing.
- This document is valid only when bearing the official stamp of the University of Baghdad and the wet-ink signatures of both parties. Photocopies or electronic reproductions are valid for internal reference only.
