- Acceptance: This Purchase Order shall become binding upon written acceptance by the University Lecturer (Supplier) within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of issue. Failure to accept within this period shall render this Purchase Order null and void.
- Commencement: The University Lecturer shall report for duty on 1 August 2025 at the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Kuala Lumpur, located in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur. A formal orientation programme shall be conducted during the first two weeks.
- Payment Terms: All remuneration shall be paid on a monthly basis via electronic bank transfer (e-Transfer) to the bank account specified in Section 2. Payment shall be processed within thirty (30) days from the end of each calendar month, subject to completion of all statutory deductions mandated by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF).
- Working Hours: The University Lecturer shall adhere to the standard academic working hours of the institution, which are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with additional hours as required for examination invigilation, committee meetings, and student supervision. The University Lecturer shall be entitled to a minimum of 14 days of annual leave and 14 days of sick leave per academic year, in accordance with the Employment Act 1955 of Malaysia.
- Confidentiality: The University Lecturer shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student records, research data, unpublished manuscripts, and institutional proprietary information. This obligation shall survive the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of three (3) years.
- Intellectual Property: All research outputs, publications, patents, and intellectual property developed by the University Lecturer during the course of employment and using institutional resources in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur shall be jointly owned by the University Lecturer and the institution, as stipulated in the university's Intellectual Property Policy 2024.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order by providing three (3) months' written notice. The institution may terminate immediately in the event of gross misconduct, academic dishonesty, or breach of the code of conduct as defined by the Malaysian Education Ministry guidelines.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia Kuala Lumpur.
- Compliance: The University Lecturer shall comply with all applicable Malaysian legislation, including the Education Act 1996, the Employment Act 1955, the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), and all internal regulations of the institution.
- Amendments: No amendment to this Purchase Order shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by both the Authorised Officer of the institution and the University Lecturer.
This Purchase Order has been reviewed and approved by the following authorised officers of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Kuala Lumpur. The engagement of this University Lecturer has been endorsed by the Academic Board and the Finance Committee of the institution, and all procurement procedures have been conducted in compliance with the Malaysian Government Procurement Guidelines and the institution's internal procurement policy.
