This Purchase Order is issued by the Universidad Nacional de la Ciudad de México to formally engage the services of Dr. Alejandro Ríos Mendoza, a qualified University Lecturer, for the academic term commencing 1 September 2025 through 20 December 2025. The engagement is governed by the academic regulations of the institution and the applicable labor and tax legislation of the Federal District, Mexico Mexico City. - Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the civil and commercial laws of Mexico Mexico City and the Federal District. Any disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through the institutional arbitration panel of the Universidad Nacional de la Ciudad de México before resorting to the judicial courts of Mexico Mexico City.
- Payment Schedule: Payment shall be made in three equal installments: 33% upon execution of this Purchase Order, 33% upon completion of the mid-term evaluation (week 6), and the remaining 34% upon final delivery of all services and acceptance by the Department Chair. All payments shall be processed via bank transfer to the account designated by the University Lecturer.
- Tax Compliance: The University Lecturer shall issue a valid CFDI (Comprobante Fiscal Digital por Internet) invoice for each payment, in compliance with the regulations of the Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) applicable in Mexico Mexico City. The institution shall withhold applicable ISR (Impuesto Sobre la Renta) as mandated by Mexican tax law.
- Intellectual Property: All course materials, syllabi, problem sets, and digital content created specifically for this engagement under this Purchase Order shall become the property of the Universidad Nacional de la Ciudad de México. The University Lecturer retains the right to use pre-existing materials and to publish original research independently.
- Confidentiality: The University Lecturer agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding student records, internal institutional data, and unpublished research shared during the engagement period in Mexico Mexico City.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with 15 calendar days' written notice. In the event of early termination, the University Lecturer shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the date of termination, less any applicable deductions.
- Compliance with Institutional Policies: The University Lecturer shall adhere to all codes of conduct, anti-harassment policies, and academic integrity standards established by the Universidad Nacional de la Ciudad de México and applicable regulations in Mexico Mexico City.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-mandated closures, or public health emergencies affecting Mexico Mexico City.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge that this Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement for the engagement of the University Lecturer as described herein. The terms set forth in this document, together with the attached academic contract and the institution's general terms of service, form the complete agreement between the parties. This Purchase Order is valid for execution and performance exclusively within the jurisdiction of Mexico Mexico City.
