Description of Services – University Lecturer ProcurementThis Purchase Order is issued by the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, located in Lima, Perú, to formally procure the academic services of a qualified University Lecturer for the academic year 2025. - Scope of Engagement: The University Lecturer shall render all academic services exclusively at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería campus located in San Borja, Lima, Perú, unless otherwise agreed in writing. All instructional activities shall be conducted in Spanish, the official language of instruction at the institution.
- Qualifications Required: The University Lecturer must hold a minimum of a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, possess a valid academic registration with the Peruvian Ministry of Education (MINEDU), and demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of post-doctoral teaching experience at a recognized university in Peru or internationally.
- Payment Schedule: Payment shall be made in three (3) equal installments: 40% upon commencement of services (March 2025), 35% upon completion of the first semester (July 2025), and 25% upon final delivery of all deliverables including publications and curriculum materials (September 2025). All payments shall be processed via bank transfer to the account designated by the University Lecturer in a Peruvian financial institution.
- Tax Compliance: The University Lecturer is responsible for the declaration and payment of all applicable Peruvian taxes, including Impuesto a la Renta (Income Tax) under the regime established by the Superintendencia Nacional de Aduanas y de Administración Tributaria (SUNAT). The IGV of 18% is included in the total amount of this Purchase Order.
- Intellectual Property: All course materials, syllabi, examination papers, and curriculum documents developed specifically for the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería under this Purchase Order shall become the property of the institution. The University Lecturer retains full intellectual property rights over pre-existing works and independently authored research publications.
- Confidentiality: The University Lecturer agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding student records, institutional data, research findings, and internal academic deliberations of the university in Lima, Perú. This obligation shall survive the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of three (3) years.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days written notice. In the event of termination for cause (including but not limited to academic misconduct, failure to meet performance standards, or violation of Peruvian labor and academic regulations), the terminating party shall provide a detailed written justification. Payment shall be made pro-rata for services rendered up to the date of termination.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Perú, including the Ley de Contrataciones del Estado (Law No. 30225) and applicable regulations of the Peruvian Ministry of Education. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the competent courts of Lima, Perú.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this Purchase Order due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters (earthquakes, El Niño phenomena), government-mandated closures, or public health emergencies as declared by the Peruvian government.
- Compliance with SUNEDU: The University Lecturer acknowledges that the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería is subject to oversight by the Superintendencia Nacional de Educación Superior Universitaria (SUNEDU) and agrees to cooperate fully with any accreditation, audit, or inspection processes conducted by this Peruvian regulatory body.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and service descriptions outlined in this Purchase Order for the engagement of the University Lecturer at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, Lima, Perú. This document constitutes a binding agreement effective from the date of the last signature.
