1. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and the named University Lecturer. All services shall be rendered at the university's main campus in Al-Haram District, Jeddah, unless otherwise authorized in writing by the Dean's Office.
2. The University Lecturer shall comply with all academic standards, institutional policies, and the regulatory framework established by the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Failure to meet the performance benchmarks outlined in the attached Service Level Agreement shall result in a formal review and potential termination of this Purchase Order.
3. Payment shall be processed in two equal installments: 50% upon successful completion of the first semester and 50% upon completion of the second semester, subject to satisfactory performance evaluation by the Department Head and the Faculty Board.
4. The University Lecturer is required to maintain valid professional credentials, a current academic visa or residency permit (Iqama) for Saudi Arabia, and all necessary work authorizations. The university reserves the right to verify documentation at any point during the engagement period.
5. All intellectual property, course materials, research findings, and publications developed during the term of this Purchase Order shall remain the property of King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, in accordance with Saudi intellectual property law.
6. This Purchase Order may be amended only through a written addendum signed by both parties. Any unilateral modification shall be deemed null and void. Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the university's internal grievance mechanism before escalation to the competent courts in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
7. The University Lecturer agrees to a non-compete clause for a period of six (6) months following the termination of this Purchase Order, within the geographic scope of Jeddah and the Makkah region.
8. This Purchase Order is subject to the General Anti-Corruption Authority (NCPA) regulations of Saudi Arabia. Any act of fraud, misrepresentation, or conflict of interest shall result in immediate termination and legal proceedings.
Approval and AuthorizationThis Purchase Order has been reviewed and approved by the undersigned authorities of King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The engagement of the University Lecturer is authorized effective from 1 September 2025 through 30 June 2026.
