- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka Colombo, and the named University Lecturer. All services rendered under this Purchase Order shall be performed in accordance with the academic standards and regulations of the University of Colombo and the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.
- The University Lecturer shall commence duties on 01 September 2025 and the engagement shall continue for a period of ten (10) months, subject to satisfactory performance reviews conducted by the Head of Department in Sri Lanka Colombo.
- Payment shall be made in monthly installments via bank transfer to the University Lecturer's designated account. The first payment shall be processed within fifteen (15) working days of the commencement date. All payments are subject to applicable Sri Lankan tax regulations, including withholding tax as specified in this Purchase Order.
- The University Lecturer is required to maintain a minimum attendance of 90% at all scheduled lectures, seminars, and committee meetings held at the University of Colombo campus in Sri Lanka Colombo. Absences exceeding three (3) consecutive days must be reported in writing to the Dean's Office.
- All academic materials, research outputs, and intellectual property developed by the University Lecturer during the term of this Purchase Order shall be jointly owned by the University of Colombo and the University Lecturer, as per the Sri Lankan Intellectual Property Act.
- The University Lecturer shall adhere to the code of conduct, academic integrity policies, and anti-harassment regulations of the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka Colombo. Any breach of these policies may result in immediate termination of this Purchase Order without further notice.
- This Purchase Order may be amended only by mutual written agreement between the authorized signatories of the University of Colombo and the University Lecturer. No verbal modifications shall be recognized.
- Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the internal grievance mechanism of the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka Colombo, and if unresolved, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka Colombo.
- The University Lecturer shall provide a comprehensive end-of-term report detailing all lectures delivered, students supervised, workshops conducted, and academic contributions made during the engagement period in Sri Lanka Colombo.
