Terms & Conditions of This Purchase Order
- This Purchase Order is issued by Dr. Sarah Whitmore, a registered Veterinarian practising in Birmingham, United Kingdom, on behalf of Birmingham Animal Health Centre. All goods and services procured under this order are intended exclusively for veterinary clinical use within the practice premises located in the Birmingham metropolitan area.
- Payment terms: Net 30 days from the date of confirmed delivery and acceptance of all items listed in this Purchase Order. Payment shall be made via BACS bank transfer to the supplier's designated account in the United Kingdom. Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
- All veterinary pharmaceuticals, diagnostic reagents, and medical devices supplied under this Purchase Order must be fully compliant with UK law, including the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2018, the Medicines for Human Use (Marketing Authorisations) Regulations 2012, and the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. The supplier warrants that all items carry valid UKCA or CE marking as applicable.
- Delivery shall be made to the Birmingham Animal Health Centre address specified above. The supplier is responsible for all packaging, insurance in transit, and safe handling of temperature-sensitive veterinary products. The Veterinarian or an authorised member of the clinical team must be present to inspect and sign for delivery upon arrival in Birmingham.
- The supplier shall provide full documentation, including batch numbers, expiry dates, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and any required MHRA or RCVS compliance certificates, alongside each delivery. Failure to provide complete documentation shall entitle the purchasing Veterinarian to reject the affected items without penalty.
- Warranty: All capital equipment (X-Ray Unit, Ultrasound Probe, Anaesthetic Machine, Examination Tables) carries a minimum 24-month manufacturer's warranty from the date of installation in Birmingham. Consumable items (sutures, IV catheters, test kits, microchips) are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects at the time of delivery.
- Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Jurisdiction shall lie with the courts of Birmingham, United Kingdom. Both parties agree to attempt mediation through the British Veterinary Association (BVA) dispute resolution service before initiating legal proceedings.
- This Purchase Order becomes binding upon written or electronic acceptance by the supplier. Amendments to quantities, specifications, or delivery schedules must be agreed in writing by both the purchasing Veterinarian and the supplier prior to dispatch.
- The supplier acknowledges that the purchasing Veterinarian is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and that all supplied products must meet the professional standards expected of veterinary practice in the United Kingdom. The supplier shall not supply any product that has been withdrawn from the UK market or that is subject to an active MHRA safety alert.
